The Apple iPhone is one of the most cleverly developed Phone / PDA devices ever developed. Apple surely knew what it was doing when it designed this device. It's not only a beautifully crafted phone, but also very useful in many ways and, it is so simple and elegant to use. You can intuitively figure out how to use its features finding contacts, photos downloading games and more. I'll go over a quick overview of the iPhone and some of its unique features.

There are so many cleverly built applications by Apple and also third parties so many that I would have to write a couple of books just to talk about all of them. Some of the applications that come loaded on the Apple iPhone include global clock, contacts, iPod, of course, stock updates, and weather forecasts, There are so many basic applications that come with the Apple iPhone, it's hard to imagine why'd you need any more.

But, that's where the Apple iPhone begins to really differ from the "regular" PDAs. Apple took a page out of Palm's storybook create a development platform where programmers can develop applications and let them share in the revenue with Apple. What Apple did much better though was to allow "over the air" downloading of these applications right to your phone, without having to sync up your device. What a novel concept. These applications are light and small. And, many of them are free!

Other items as I am giving you and overview of the Apple iPhone, include making a call. It is very simple. You basically press the phone button and you are instantly presented with a dial pad, your favorites, or contact list. You can easily switch between these options at the touch of your fingertip. This makes dialing very easy, especially if you have lots of contacts.

The Apple iPhone also allows you to merge calls for a conference call or swap between to callers, if you happened to have two people on the line. The merge and swap buttons are very prominent on the dial display.

Bluetooth, of course, is standard on a device like the Apple iPhone, so driving safely is not an afterthought but a basic feature.

One of the coolest features of the Apple iPhone is its 2.0 Megapixel camera and photo application. By most standards, it's a pretty decent camera in good lighting photos come out pretty well. Even night time pictures are pretty decent. The photo application really shines when you add photos that you've taken with your digital SLR or point and shoot, because they show up so nicely on your 320 x 320 screen.

Finally, the Apple iPhone has a direct link into YouTube. You press the YouTube button on the Apple iPhone and you are sent directly to YouTube videos, assuming of course, that you are connected to the Internet.

As I mentioned, there are so many features on the Apple iPhone that it would take up a whole book. For now, go out and get yourself one!
