Why is it that there are still racist voters who AGREE with Obama's solutions to important issues, but will pick McCain ONLY due to the color of his skin? It's 2008!!! Obama is having a hard time winning the older white voters because they are from the old school. They were taught as children that African-Americans are second class citizens. They were taught to be proud of their white skin, and to believe that they are superior. It's not good enough that Obama had a white mother, and that his grandparents are white. It's not enough that Obama speaks better than some of them, and is HIGHLY educated and intelligent! Is it because he married a black woman, and has two black children? The thought of a black family residing in the White House was NEVER in the plan...right? Presidents are supposed to be older white males only, with no room for women or OBAMA. I believe in my heart that the world is in for a reality check!! African Americans have been pushed under the rug ever since slavery. The cut runs so deep that it is hard to discuss without feeling ashamed of the past. Bigotry and hatred is taught, and what kind of race teaches their young to hate?! From the KKK to skin heads, it still exsist. Tolerance may have gotten better with the new generations, but there will always be racism. Obama is a breath of fresh air that America needs! He is young, talented, and smart and will do this country justice. It's Obama's turn...
Short, sweet and to the point. The racial divide is the old way of thinking, and it never worked. Time for a change. I'm ready. Respond to this comment
