A fathers touch, is the first, last and only that makes a daughter feel loved, safe, and forgiven. As a father and daughter share a relationship like no other, it has it's times of fear, anger and the need for space from each other, but as a young girl grows to being a woman, theres only one man in her life that she knows will never divorce her, leave her or hurt her by acts that one cannot forget. Because every step of the way threw life she knows that the one man in her life that she can depend on to be there when she has had her heart broken, or needs her car fixed so she can make it to school to get the education she needs to make him proud as he watches her be handed her accomplishments on a rolled up paper with a red ribbon wrapped around it. He is the man that will heal the broken heart and bring the smile that she thought she had lost, all by assuring her she is beautiful and that no matter what, she is loved for who she is, his gift from god. As a man becomes a father he is not given a handbook on how to raise his new born daughter, he follows his heart and hopes that he makes the right decisions when telling her right from wrong, as she grows he watches her first steps, her first break up, but at some point watches her fall in love and knows that though the day will come for him to walk her down the isle and give her away, as he listens to the pastor present her with another name, he cannot help but to remember that she is standing there accomplished and in love because of the life he helped live for so many years, though he must let go of her hand he must always hold on to her heart.
