A few days ago, I received a cherished gift from an old friend that I met when I was 19 years old.

Tom was music director at the stage school I went to and both being on the same musical wavelength, we became long lasting plutonic friends. During the last 25 years he has written a number of beautiful pieces of music for me and it has been among some of the most meaningful gifts I have had the pleasure and honour to receive. Just recently, I have been blessed with a beautiful Waltz, as Tom knows that I love dancing. It is special gifts like this that make you feel valued, the fact that someone has spent time to create something for you. I, in turn have supported him through times of depression, something many highly gifted people like Tom are prone to and

he has come out of it being even more creative than ever.

I have also received other beautiful gifts, not least my children, gifts from God.

The gift that is also everlasting is from someone who has inspired me to continue on with my life as a teacher, when I myself was needing to find new springs of wisdom and spiritual renewal.

Someone who is so creative that they were able to change my life around, push me forward and turn me into a better teacher. I don't need to say your name, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We are all blessed with creative friends in our life and it is for us to find something create to do for them in return. For the creative gifts that we have received may we be truly thankful.
