One of the most important rules I learned after spending 15 years selling national television advertising is:

If You're Dull Customers Don't Buy

Why?

Well - it really breaks another big rule of SELLING. When you're dull - you're not different.

When you're not different (with something that is important to your customer) -they feel that you're exactly like your competitor.

And then?

They either DON'T BUY at all....or they choose someone else who is more exciting and relevant....

...or they GRIND YOU ON PRICE.

So if you have a potential customer right now who is focusing on price with you....I can guarantee one thing.

You're Dull. Dull. Dull.

What Is THE Most Important Emotion In Sales?

Curiosity.

If your customer isn't curious about what you offer and how it can help them...then lady -they don't care:

How brilliant you are

How many awards you've won

How many books you've written

How much money you make

About your fabulous benefits or features

Guarantees

Blah, Blah, Blah

So if you're not making people curious with your marketing materials, your style, your sales proposals and with your product or service then these are the 2 emotions you are creating in your customers:

1) Boredom

2) Anger

And that doesn't exactly help you have an over-flowing bank account.

My Diva Dare For You?

Go over EVERYTHING YOU SELL in the next 4 days. I mean everything.

If I didn't know you - would I be curious about what you sell?

Or would I think you're the Mayor of Dullsville?

It's time for you to break free don't you think?

So there.

Love From Your Bossy Sales Diva,

Kim
