It is no secret that Utility Warehouse have been recruiting up to 300 letting agents a month to join their program, what we try to explain here is why a letting agent would be interested in selling Utilities.
Time Saving
Letting agents often claim to save up to 100 hrs a month in admin when they join Utility warehouse, this is because at the moment when a tenant moves out of a managed property, the agent is having to call up to four different companies for Electric, Gas, Telephone and broadband to make sure all bills are paid and services can continue to be supplied to the next tenant.
With the Utility Warehouse all the services are on one bill, thus only one call is required to make sure everything is ok and at the same time change the tenant details on the property. Utility Warehouse answer 90 of their business this way each month. If when you get the tenant to sign the agreement on behalf of the landlord you also get them to sign for the utilities, you will be being paid a monthly residual on a tenant you never had.
Unexpected Customers
Utility Warehouse will continue to remind customers that they get discounts for recommending their friends, as a result once you have a large customer portfolio you should start to see customers appearing that you did not sign up, you are paid a lower rate on these customers to cover our additional admin, however this is really money for nothing.
Group Customers
Utility Warehouse enables you to recruit other agents who may be interesting in additional income, the possibilities here are endless. I have not the space here for all the info, however there are 37500 in additional bonuses here from just one area of the business.
Free Training
Utility Warehouse will provide free training for all your staff at one of our eighty monthly one day trainings around the country. Furthermore the person who sponsored you and their support team are usually more than willing to help.
Final Note
You cannot force anybody to be a customer of Utility Warehouse, however once a tenant is in a property you can insist they do not change away from the current supplier. So that once a house has been converted it should stay that way.
