In 1963 I was only 14 years old going on 15, I had a summer job at a cemetery cutting grass. As I would cut grass, I'd sing all sorts of songs. The running motor of the lawn mower was my back up.

Johnny Cash came out with his big hit "ring of fire" that year I would sing along with this song it was then I became a Johnny Cash fan. Here I present the lyrics to the song.

Johnny Cash and wife June Carter Cash

Love is a burning thing
and it makes a fiery ring
bound by wild desire
I fell in to a ring of fire...

I fell in to a burning ring of fire
I went down, down, down
and the flames went higher.
And it burns, burns, burns
the ring of fire
the ring of fire.

The taste of love is sweet
when hearts like our's meet
I fell for you like a child
oh, but the fire went wild..

I fell in to a burning ring of fire

I went down, down, down

and the flames went higher.

And it burns, burns, burns

The ring of fire

The ring of fire
