What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than to turn the giving around. Each year, I watch as my husband suffers to find that gift that will not only make my eyes sparkle with his romantic thoughtfulness, but also live up to the glaring judgment of my female co-workers. However, this year, I have declared that I should be the one to take the pressure and give my husband the Ultimate Guy Valentine Gift. After a search online to see the top male Valentine gifts, I was discouraged at the results. Therefore, I have taken it on myself to compile my own gift guide for those women out there who aren’t married to that traditional guy who actually enjoys tie tacks. I hope that these non-traditional men’s Valentine gifts can inspire and delight other women to move forward and begin to initiate romance for their special Valentine.

Simple and Sneaky
Contact someone at his work who can get you in after hours. Sneak in and decorate his office with cutesy valentines, streamers and balloons. Include a package with some sort of junk food or breakfast treat (i.e. muffins, Frappuccinos, Cokes, etc.) Sure it will leave him embarrassed, but he will enjoy the extra attention.

Movie Mania
What guy doesn’t like movies? Arrange for babysitting if you have children and schedule a time to go see a movie. Of course, since it is a gift, it has to be a movie with lots of violence and explosions. Skip the girly cheesy romantic stuff this time.

Action Adventure
Pay for an hour of Laser Tag or Paintball. He will enjoy getting to let out energy and seeing a different side of you. Ladies remember: let him win.

Car Care
Take the keys and get his car washed and detailed. Men treat their cars like second wives and will enjoy the fact that you too believe their “baby" is worth the attention.

Gadget Guru
These guys are the easiest to buy for if you have the money. If they haven’t gotten the new iPod video, you are set. Be sure though to do the cheesy free engraving. The possibilities are endless with this set of guys, just tour your local tech store and stock up or give the gift card.

Sexy Seductress
Of course, what husband doesn’t want to enjoy time with his wife? Buy him some cute pajamas or boxers, get rid of the kids for the evening, buy yourself something cute and order a pizza. Don’t forget the candles!

So this Valentine’s Day, women, use your imagination. Isn’t the point to make that special someone feel special? Don’t settle for the traditional (boring) tie, money clip or tie tack. Be creative and take the pressure off of him this year. If all else fails, buy something you both can enjoy such as a couple’s massage. That way, you are sure to get what you want.

I love your ideas! My husband is probably one of the least romantic guys in the world and that other stuff I found online was nothing but romantic. If he's not going to enjoy it, why do it? Your ideas are great! Thanks for sharing :)
