One of my coaches once said: "Everything that happens to you, will turn out to be good for you. At least it will be at the end.

And I have seen it so many times in my life, but also in the lives of my family, friends and clients. Sometime, something bad happens. You really don't understand why this should happen to you. But years after, when you look back, you can see that the bad thing appeared to be the key to a positive changing in your life. In my case one time I had an accident and I had to take rest. By taking rest I realised that I wasn't on the right course. After that I quit my job and got a much more satisfying life. This was a very clear circumstance to me.

But it can happen in a small and a big way. Since that time I am much more focused and I think when something bad happens: what is the good thing here. I know it will be good for me after all.

People have a tendency to complain when they meet difficult situations. But should they?

Do you remember a situation where you got very angry? Maybe you were simply mad at people because they didn't do their job very well. After you expressed your anger, they were a bit shocked and from then on they worked very well. That is a simple case. But maybe one time you were in a rage and you were hurting people. When you realized that you'd gone to far, you started to change your behavior. So that rage at the end appeared to be good for you, because you learned a lot from it.

Maybe you were in a very scary situation once. Maybe you acted bravely and you know now that you don't have to fear, whatever will happen. Or you were so scared that you still have fears and nightmares about that situation. You think what is the good thing here? The good thing here is that you got the message that you will have to act to free yourself from the terrible fear. So start dealing with it. That is your challenge! Or if you did already you will notice that your life became far more satisfying since that time. You are able to help people in the same situation and you know better what life is worth.

And I guess that of course there has been a time in your life where frustration got you. Remember how this situation was solved? Maybe you learned tot talk clearly to people or maybe you learned how to deal with frustration. The outcome always is or will be positive.

So when you ask yourself: "Why is this bad situation happening to me"? Remember that this situation has a purpose for you. Find out what you will have to do. And you will free yourself from negative emotions and get a better life.
