Now just what am I getting at? Is it culture, ignorance, arrogance or Character? Well ever walk through a store, down the street or just be driving along and pass a young person with the better part of their rear end out and their pants hanging well below where they should be? What does that signify, youthful expression, fad, individuality or is it culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
Ok, maybe many of you won't buy into that, well what about the language 6-21 and that isn't a bible verse. Mother F and every other sort of foul language that is used as everyday conversation in school and yes even church. Is that caused by culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? Yes and what does it say about from whence they come?
Ever watch a ball game. Now the very coaches, these men who shape and mold character espousing the very same language and tolerating the worst of actions. Is that caused by culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
Ever go for a drive only to be cut off and passed at high speed and receive the coveted gesture of contempt? Is that culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
Then we have our children's hero's. You have professional athletes talking about their sexual conquests to our youth. Is that the type of person we want our children to grow up to mimic and follow? Can it just be culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
Now we get down to our "leaders", yes those merchants of power, exploitation and greed. Those who lie, tell half truth, omit, distort, redirect and do while the masses, 96% say they are doing a terrible, bad, miserable job yet and get this, evidently deem appropriate and still vote for, allow, condone it. Just what does that speak to? Is it culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
What does it say to our youth when we smoke, drink curse and fool around and our kids know it. Is it just culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
Yes and what is the message when we can't speak the truth because we just may offend a person group or race or be taken to court so better we keep silent even when it is obvious and like I say truth and even while good people are destroyed. Is that non action related to culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
What about the confrontation and fear that permeates our society. I don't look, keep on walking, don't say anything, nothing will be done about it. Learn to not speak up you will be better off. Just what is that, culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
What about those who go to church, quote scripture, praise the Lord and say one thing but do another or do nothing at all to change injustice, wrongs, sin? Is that because of culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
So now we are faced with crisis after crisis. In the home, in our nation, in our schools, in our jobs and society and many sit and wander why? Yes while passing someone and giving them that gesture and yelling out 6-21 and then throwing a cigarette out the window, while telling their kids to sit down and shut up or else. Is that because of culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
So what about facing truth, facts, reality? Why do the majority run from it? Yes run from it, are afraid, don;t wish to confront it? Is it because it is too close to home? No conviction or courage to do what needs to be done or to take action? is it all fear driven, let someone else do it for me? Is that non action related to culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
Is it all about a home owners association who would put a decent man, retired 66 in jail because his lawn is brown and not up to standards for those fat cat homeowners. The man fell on hard times an dis trying to keep his home. What drives these people, these caring, decent, lovers of their neighbors to pout someone in jail over a lawn. Is that non action related to culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
Yes we all sin and fall short, yes all of us. However and that however is this, the person who is trying recognizes it, admits their faults and becomes born again. They fight the good fight. They try to do better. They become the doers, the action people, the achievers while the rest, well sadly they wallow in the pasture waiting for someone else to open the gate. Is that non action related to culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
Yes and we wonder why we have these types in office, why things are bad, why kids show no respect, why, why, why, when it is all right before us. Is it culture, ignorance, arrogance or character? What does it say about from whence they come?
