Of course as a writer I find many different opinions and responses to my work and certainly of others. Nothing wrong in diversity. Some views kind and considerate and others well just plain attacking. Some direct and some covert. Some where people name who they are who voice their views and others who voice their views but hide. Hey I don't want him to know that is me. One can always respect at least the person has enough conviction to stand up for their views and are not ashamed to voice them. In receiving responses I always have to remind myself to have mercy for those who counter attack just for the sake of making their point right, while offering none or little substantive information as to why they feel I am wrong in the opinion or information I expressed. No facts but a lot fluff that they present as fact. I in fact would hope I can get facts but it never seems that way.
Of course in Obama's case, it seems we dare not attack him, the man, his works? Rhetorically, is that a form of reverse racism? Is it more a sign of the times then people like to admit? Is he so pure and just or why if questioned he is above it all? Is it possible much of what is said is correct? Is everything that is raised wrong? Is it how dare we?
Certainly both candidates and parties have lied, told half truths, passed innuendo, redirected away from them, ignored. Yet both cannot erase facts, truth? They did or they didn't? It really is as simple as that when making a decision. Be informed and base it one what they did or didn't, not hopes, dreams, pie in the sky or I just feel, or think? Yes I think number three will win the race if it does great if it doesn't oh well, wrong. Maybe not a good analogy but hey it seems to be enough these days.
Now this election does seem to bring out all the negatives in us humans. It is a very emotional and historic election. In fact we can't even mention that or say Obama is a man without someone saying or calling you a racist. How totally pitiful and sad and I'm talking all races not just blacks as many of you automatically assume.
However, if one sticks to facts then they should not have to undergo attack or hateful, vindictive, demeaning responses. I know I try not to but I have to say at times I get angry and my human side may show up. Not intentionally but I do understand our humanity. Now in my opinion I feel we would be foolish if we did not understand indoctrination plays a key role. How a persons experiences, situations, environment shaped their opinions, thoughts, very actions. It is part of all of us. Some even have educational issues, comprehension, understanding language, and culture barriers. Yes and some deem themselves so intelligent their view is the only view and the correct view. They call that arrogance, pride, ego.
Now certainly, in using myself as the object some might say I come across that way. I am rather direct and firm in my writing. Why, well I am a realist and as I write I try to put forth fact / truths not just my opinion. I say if it is my opinion and if wrong appreciate, yes appreciate a different or corrective view. Yet when not receiving any response that addresses the facts I write to it tells me as a writer there evidently is no response to be offered of any validity? To me that reinforces that those who have their champion are upset that someone would point out a negative about their candidate, even when true. They consider that an attack and evidently a personal one. Rhetorically, how could they be wrong, or is it that they may have to face reality?
It is covered in many ways such as, "we all have faults", "we are all human" and for the religious "we all sin". Yes the religious are the worst. "Where is the love"? Ok where is it? Why, well does not the separation of all Christian beliefs speak to that very distinctly? I am saved you are not. I am a Christian you are not. My bible says, yours doesn't. I do you don't. Yes the confusion and tragedy of man. However, how do we know as God Himself knows. The fruits of your works, labor.
So in responding to someone by not presenting facts that is significant. One does a disservice to the one they are responding to and to their very champion. It seems to me they are actually diminishing, not upholding their champions values and their own very beliefs. Like I stated earlier, they talk around the issues, redirect, change the substance but and they can't seem to address the truth. Sadly I have been attacked even while the person offered no correction or different information. Receiving no real substance on the issues but a lot of fluff that didn't answer the questions.
Ok it is evident some need an example. Well many times I have stated this election is not about nice, being a family person, a good guy or girl, or speaking well, no, it is about leadership. That's right, leadership. NICE is good but can you lead? I might like nice and think the same about a person but do they do, and believe in what I perceive a candidate should? What works are demonstrated in what they have done or failed to do that supports my beliefs. It is that simple.
I have also asked, perhaps directly and in many forms, how can people continue to ignore what i write to? It is really past me since they profess to be decent and many believers? I wonder how they are? They can selectively look the other way and pick and choose what they want to believe or not and discard everything else? Yes, sadly it sounds like religion exactly to me. Hey, the facts are there for anyone to see. It is that simple, really, yet in my opinion it goes right past the vast majority.
So in my opinion nice, a good family man, seems like a nice person, a great package or exterior is meaningless when it comes down to can the person do the job. Is that not why we elect people, to do the job. So why do you support this person, the package or the contents? One would hope both candidates meet the description of nice, family man, good and decent and in that role no argument. Is that not a prerequisite?
So if we are to make the right choice to lead this country then we need to take away the exterior and get down to works, deeds, facts what they have done or failed to do and substance. Their agenda, ideology, beliefs. So how is this as a real life example? Can assume that if you hang with people of dubious character it would not be unfair to wonder about that persons character? Do we not do this eacha nd every day. Oh he or she is a church goer, they must be good. wrong, perception, not fact. So it is feasible one might think that is a real concern? That is who you call friend or hang with? Why would you call them your friend and proud to know them? You may and not participate in their deeds yet simply by association you may be labeled.
Are we that naive to understand this is reality? So that perception, right, wrong or indifferent is a possibility. Why place yourself into that situation and over time if we recognize that many people perceive it as such? Do not even the police and law enforcement? So why would you attack anyone for possibly believing that and how do you know, actually know that person does not hold the same views, opinions and beliefs as that person who is considered a negative influence? Just how do you know. Because they say they don't? Yes, the same holds true the opposite. It is possible they do not. Yet we get back to association again and guilt by it. Wrong perhaps but still fact.
Ok here is a another down to earth fact which all candidates for every office totally ignore as do many people who vote for them. If you allow Usury, a definite sin in Gods eyes, and you take no action to correct it, stop it, change it and in effect condone it and yet you profess to be a Christian and even a good decent leader are you really? Rhetorically can you be subject to a morality question? Hey if your not sure about usury and you profess to be a Christian then read the bible. I am sure it is in there many times over. Just do a search..
Ok if you pass a bailout bill for the wealthiest irresponsible types but do nothing about usury, foreclosure help for average Americans, are you the leader you say you are? I'm talking the entire bunch here.
If you cut benefits for the elderly, the poor, the sick and handicapped but give trillions away to foreign investors and over your very own citizens are you moral, a person of Character one who stands by your oaths and places the General Welfare of this nations people first? of course they will say they are but the facts are, are they or is iot another agenda? Only in their works do youknow the answer to that.
Well of course I need not go one yet I will certainly be attacked for presenting facts, truth. Why, feelings are bruised, opinions attacked and it may point out quite possibly that you just may be like them and you could care less about that aspect. It is really as simple as that. You may be offended because and jump to defend them because in reality, get this, you are just like them in beliefs even while doing the opposite.
So many quote the bible, say they are in the church, profess their faith, sing God Bless America, well in reality it is a meaningless exterior exercise. Yes meaningless, that is unless you are who you say you are. If you are you would not support a person who allows usury, a sin against God. You would not support someone who is for Abortion, a sin against God. Yes it is in the Word. Yes and if condone the breaking of law, laws a person you elected and who swore before their God to uphold, do you not also sin or are an accomplice to that sin by your none actions or actions? No Jesus did not say its ok, take one from column A and one from Column B. No nothing about Good Samaritan when it came to sin.. No sin, period, fact.
Yes another fact, Comprehensive Immigration is not dead, just hidden yes and even when 85% of us don't want it, yet omission is cool. Don't say anything, right? Hey it is still on the table waiting for after the next election and the new Democratic Congress will pass it regardless of what that 85% of all Americans want, yes fact and you ignore it. Why and how can you?
Enough said. Hey we all place our views out there for all to read or not, agree or not. We don't need the personal attacks we do need people with diverse or different views to write about their beliefs and present their facts, substance and not bull. No I really care about who someone says they are or profess to be. I care about how they demonstrate that in works, what is done or not. Love of neighbor in the very purest form does not mean omit truth, or do not speak out. In fact we are encouraged to do so even at the risk of being attacked, yes biblical. Righteous anger and indignation also part of God's Word , fact. No we are not to cower because we are attacked we are to become bolder and yes if wrong admit our errors and be thankful for the correction.
So if these candidates are who they say they are, both and in fact all, then why have they not addressed Usury? Why have they supported time and time again the policies that have brought this nation to the point it is at?. Hey their works, their deeds in what they have done and failed to do not mine or yours although people like to pass it off unto the backs of everyday people as if they caused many of their circumstance. Yes assumptions, lump everyone in..
So can we address and debate the issues instead of saying how nice they are, good, just how do you come to that conclusion? Is it by the wrapper, or what they promise, just what that we will elect these people?

You know Robert, as I read this I thought of how a mother would stand firm in protecting her child; with that she would not be criticized but, rather, applauded for her love and dedication -- As for our present times and nation, I use the same analogy regarding our country, but, yes, it has come to slander, cowardly slams and the "race card" which is irrelevant - I, as a Christian woman, do not feel that my role should remain in silence as I witness the crumbling of our nation yet my character is being slandered and I am now a racist. That's ignorance in my opinion. With love comes convictions and that is all there is to it. There was a field trip in CA this week where elementary children were brought to share in a gay/lesbian marriage -- should I remain silent on that? no, never - the children will suffer and they need to be protected and so voices such as yours is needed whether people like it or not and if they don't like it, just hit the "close" button and move on. Judi we will all be asked for an accounting one day. For those who profess and live the gospel their deeds will suffice for those who profess with mouth only, well in my opinion another issue. Best wishes dear friend. Remember, they have the issues. You are just reiterating and reminding what needs to be said according to the Word they also profess to believe in. I think it is important you keep in mind 2nd timothy chapter 3 /4. Very pertinent for today. Yes and we do grow weary because you speak to a world not interested in truth. It is what it is and that is why it is so hard to understand How much more for Jesus on the Cross when he looked down and around? Who was at the foot f the cross? Just a few? That was the message and it applies to us today.

Well, Robert, as human beings, we all have issues but we try and that's the best we can do. Thanks also for the scripture reading - it is indeed pertinent for our times. Weary, yes, but we know it is all in God's hands and the reminder of Jesus on the Cross is humbling and something I must keep close to my heart. Thanks again, Robert, for your wisdom, kindness and convictions - you are indeed a special man who I am proud to be associated with.
