When alcohol has gotten so bad that they children of in an alcoholic marriage are beginning to suffer physical harm, your drinker is totally out of control.

Children are often the pawn of many hard drinkers. Their lives are threatened, like yours and they are often physically beaten or verbally abused while trying to protect their mother or for calling the police.

Children are sometime sexually abuse by a father or stepfather. An alcoholic will loose all their sense of values and try and cause you and the children to loose yours. Alcoholics will cause the kids to miss school and other social activities, and they will cause you to miss work. In these cases the kids are treated just as bad as you are, and just to get a rise out of you, they get often get treated worse.

Then the arguments starts, this is in order to blame all of you and everyone around them for their compulsive drinking and insecurities. They will often threaten to take the kids away from you,( imagine how terrifying this must be to a child) being taken away from the only steady parent that they know.

Alcoholics convince themselves that this behavior is perfectly acceptable and it has no effect on his children.

When any woman senses danger to her children she will do whatever possible to protect them, even when seeking help may endanger her and them more.

An abusive alcoholic relationship is particularly dangerous to children because as they bear witness to the abuse it sometimes will damage them and their self-esteem and worthiness and often times their relationships with others as they grow into adulthood often becoming alcoholic abusers themselves.

For the safety of yourself and your children, never be afraid to seek help, don't let your children become pawns in your marriage and grow up to in an unhealthy abusive environment.
