If you have heard or read the testimonies of over comers, you will discover, learn and come to know of a single theme shared by each of them. This theme and common thread, if you will, is how thankful they are for having come through, to the treasure waiting for them. They give thanks for being "stronger, wiser, better and so much better," as Marvin Sapp's song says.
We should never give up because of the battle. Christ has already fought for us and won, so we can be of good cheer! I know it isn't easy but we must stand. There are many examples of inventors who did not quit after documenting what would not work (some call it failure). They soon found out what would work and the rest is history. We enjoy their determination and perseverance. I do not know who were believers and who were not but imagine having the Lord on your side; believing Him and trusting Him, taking Him at His Word, and holding on to His Promises. Can you imagine the treasures that wait? Of course not! "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searchest all things, yea, the deep things of God." 2 Corinthians 2:9-10
The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is an inspirational myth but why use folklore to inspire you? Let the Word of God be your inspiration. He sends it out and it doesn't come back void. It accomplishes that which He has spoken it to do.
Our trials, struggles, tribulations and tests have purpose in our lives. That purpose is to help us to live the purpose filled life God has for us. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
No struggle comes our way apart from His purpose, presence and permission. This means nothing comes our way that has not first passed through the filter of God's Infinite love for us. (Please read
Job's Remarkable and Timeless Outcomes of Faith by Jane Bullard.)
We will come through trials into treasure if we wait patiently on the Lord and count it all joy; storms will make us strong and force us to rely totally on God. Offer more praises to Him when things are down and wait to see how good the Lord truly is! He likes when we thank Him in advance of the manifestation of answered prayer. It shows Him we have faith, trust and believe in Him. He is then delighted to release His treasures to us.
