As you know by now this world is turning upside down. What do I mean
by that? Well…if you take a look at how things were 50 years ago, you
could say that hardly anything is the same anymore.
Granted, I am only 38 so obviously I did not live 50 years ago, but
I know that times were much more pleasant than they are now. If someone
was killed, it was in all the news and people could not believe
it…especially in the suburbs. Now…it is normal.
The world is completely different in another respect as well. 50
years ago many more people went to church and had a relationship with
God. They were respectful to other people. Just remember "Leave it to
Beaver" and "Ozzie and Harriet". Back then they would sit at the table
and pray and it was on TV. Now…it seems as though it is illegal to do
that now.
I remember in elementary school saying a prayer before class started
and those who were of a different religion could say their own
prayer…and no one got offended at it.
What in the world happened? Well…it started with people like Madalyn
Murray O'Hair and other atheists to bring prayer down in almost every
area of our lives.
I personally believe that the minute they took prayer out of school
is the minute people starting getting killed at school. They have taken
the Ten Commandments out of every government building that was
originally founded on the Judeo-Christian beliefs and they are throwing
them in the trash.
You want to know why things are the way they are now? Because God
has been taken out of our culture forcefully. And don't give me that
line about Church vs. State. That has been taken so out of context that
it is sickening. If the government has nothing to do with religion then
why have there been Presidential debates focused on religion and trying
to get the religious voter out to vote for them?
Well…that is just it…the "religious" voter. I used to be one of
those "religious" voters who compromises on everything that God stands
for just to make people happy.
We need to seriously pray for our leaders and for those in power in
our great nation. And what do we need to pray? We need to pray that the
current leaders as well as future leaders LISTEN TO VOICE OF GOD AND DO THE WILL OF GOD and not their own prideful ego with their million dollar pockets.
Maybe this nation would become great again if God was put back where
he should have been all along. In the hearts and mind of all citizens
of this country as it was when this country was formed. |
