Are you undecided what to wear to the Christmas party and panicking because time is drawing near. Well stop worrying because it is no real big issue. Okay if you have 24 hours to sort out an outfit, and then yes it`s an issue and by all means panic. Nevertheless we talk of weeks so therefore plenty of time to dress for the occasion. First things first and your prioritized element should be that of comfort regardless of fashionable or not. Why not have the comfort as well as stay in the same league as other party going trend setters?

We have had women admit to "not enjoying" a party they had an invite for - due to lack of comfort. Does this not tell them that the party would have been a hit if not for their discomfort? Wearing the outfit that agrees with you i.e. good fit, comfortable, stylish, suitable colour and so on, will have you enjoy every party from here on. If you hear a woman mention she wore the wrong outfit, then this clearly says her regrets are due to the colour not suiting, the style was meant for someone younger, or that she chose a particular garment just to make her look slim. These are just a few "what to wear" concerns women face this Christmas.

The overweight Issue

If you are pleasingly (pleasantly) plump and want to appear slimmer, then this can be done, and stylishly too through the clothes you wear. Slim effect tips below.

  • Black is best for this.

  • If you have to breathe in while zipping up then discard the clothing item. Clothing that is too loose shows bulk, and tight clothing draws attention to belly and bum bulges.

  • Find garments that accentuate your positive features.

  • Vertical stripes lengthen; stay clear of horizontal stripes if you carry excess weight.

  • If your legs are the problem, then go for bright colored neck pieces to distract.

  • Shoulder pads and wide necklines give the body a balanced look. This is great for if you have wider hips.

  • Fashionable slacks are favored this time of year; however avoid wearing pleated pocketed pants. They draw attention to the midsection. Ladies trousers with narrow legs, belly flat front, and side zippers are more flattering for the more rounded figure.

  • Posture and stance is important if want to look tall and slim.

Never try and disguise the fuller figure because it will not work, it is best to make the most of what you got and beautify it to your advantage and to that of your admirers liking. Covering up with baggy clothing is not the answer.

The underweight issue

So you want to appear fatter than you are. Color can help you accomplish this? Color is as important as the garment cut and pattern, in terms of exposing our imperfection and exposing good body qualities. To appear fatter all you need to do is the exact opposite to what is suggested for making you look slim. Wearing the wrong color can negatively influence your ordinary day. Ask yourself questions like

1 What colors make you feel good?

2 What colors lead to compliments?

3 What color depresses you?

4 What colors have you appear pale?

If you worry over bulging flesh well don`t. A fashionable solution is layering. A comfortable tee shirt tucked inside pants with a well tailored jacket or belted jumper creates a fabulous look which makes a slimming "v" down your front.

Although black being ideal for a slimmer appearance, does not make it ideal for certain occasions. Be bold and wear bold. Light colors highlight body positives. If you lack confidence for color splashing and opt for predominantly dark colors to wear, then add color preferably near the face. Once you understand color, it's relatively easy to create a wardrobe to the envy of all your friends. Color is based on seasons and a good thing to know when creating your closet. Let us assume you have undergone a color coordination sitting and have established your coloring is warm, if so this means you are a "spring", if determined you are cool and clear you are a "winter", warm and muted is "autumn" and cool and muted is "summer."

Wearing colors that best suit you may entail you make sacrifices, like binning your favorite shades. Are you Summer Winter Autumn or Spring - some brief guidelines below.

1 If the inside of your arm has blue or pink/rosy undertones then you have a winter skin tone.

2 Summer-tone is you if the inside of your arm has blue or pink undertones with very pale and pink skin.

3 You label as autumn tone if the inside of your arm has golden undertones like a pale peach, golden beige or golden brown

3 You are a spring tone if the inside of your arm has delicate golden undertones, and are normally creamy white or peach with particular light, ivory skin color.

Look for colors that appeal to your senses. Try different shades up against the face to see how color tones change your look. Choose dark colors to distract from problem areas such as hips and thighs.

Jewelry speaks volumes. Dangly earrings visually slim the face and draw attention to those rising cheekbones. Scarves are popular and are also one-size-fits-all. Wear comfortable footwear. If shoe leather rubs the skin, then expect more rubbing due to the extra weight needing to be transported around. If you've lost weight or put it on, your shoe size may have changed. Plus, with changing scope you are most likely to carry your body differently. That means it is possible that the feet's pressure points have changed. It all directs to the need for a good fitting shoe combined with some amped-up style the latter of which should come with a heel. Not only will shoe style carry off an outfit, but supporting a heel will have the shoes lengthen your look.

Remember what you see as problem may not be the problem. It may well be your way of thinking. Fair enough fat is not good for your health; however there are folks who love tubby people. Why else would being stout be referred to as pleasantly plump if it were not pleasing to those who it matters the most?
