A flower's appeal is in its contradictions - so delicate in form yet strong in fragrance, so small in size yet big in beauty, so short in life yet long on effect.  ~Adabella Radici

An anniversary is a time to celebrate the joys of today, the memories of yesterday, and the hopes of tomorrow.  ~Author Unknown

Flowers are often given for anniversaries, too but the following are traditional gifts given for the first to the twelfth wedding anniversary.

First - Clocks
Second - China
Third - Crystal/Glass
Fourth - Appliances
Fifth - Silverware
Sixth - Wood
Seventh - Desk Sets
Eighth - Linens/Lace
Ninth - Leather
Tenth - Diamond Jewelry
Eleventh - Fashion Jewelry
Twelfth - Pearls

Daffodils* for her and forget-me-nots for him along with a diamond heirloom brooch and diamond studded cuff-links would be perfect gifts for a tenth wedding anniversary.

*(Perennials usually available in the spring but selected here for its meaning.)
Part II of this article will include flowers from M-W and the thirteenth up to the sixtieth wedding anniversary gifts. May you find this information useful and perhaps a bit amusing.
