Tip That Will Speed Up Your PC

If your computer is browsing slowly it could be a few things. What you want to do is try the "Disk Clean" function.

Its a common function you can perform to ensure a smooth operating system. It will also create more space and keep the PC from freezing up.

I have tried to make it as easy as possible:

Step 1: Click on the "Start" button

Step 2: Then click "All Programs"

Step 3: Next you will click "Accessories"

Step 4: Now click on "Tools"

Step 5: Look for the "Disk Clean" option, then click it

Step 6: After you click the "Disk Clean" option you will see a list pop up. It will have all the possible clean up options. Your PC will pick the most basic ones for you, but you can choose to clean up other categories if you wish. The first time I did it I had to manually click the "Recycle Bin" . So you might have some options , but be sure of your decision, once they are gone they are gone for good.

That is it. Once you choose the "Clean" option the PC will perform the task of Cleaning. You might want to restart your PC to let it reorganize its Registry. Once you do that your computer should perform faster and start up faster as well.

If it doesn't function any better you might need to do something about your registry. There are plenty of FREE registry cleaner downloads out there. But be careful about the one you choose. If you choose one that isn't of High Quality you very well could be risking the integrity of your PC.

Thanks Lyn. Another thing you can do is try the "Defragmentation" option. Follow the same steps all the way until you get to the point where it shows the "Disk Clean" option, there you will choose the "Defrag" option.

That should do it. Thanks and God Bless ya
