Death and life are in the power of the tongue.

(Proverbs 18:21)

For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

(Matthew 12:34)

That is awesome! Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Your heart is in your spirit. This is the part of you that has been born again in the redemptive work of Jesus The Messiah.

If you let God's Word come out of your, mouth you give God something to confirm in your life. If you do not like what has been happening in your life, then change what comes out your mouth!

Do not blame anyone else. They are not your problem. Do not blame the government, and do not blame the things you do not know or understand. Go look in the mirror when you are in the bathroom by yourself and the door is locked. The person you see in the mirror is your problem.

I don't know about you, but I am thrilled to know that nobody and nothing can mess me up. I like that. Thank God, I am the one who decides. Not because it is me, but because God designed the system to work that way.

For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. (Matthew 12:37)

It does not say, "by their words." What you say does not make any difference. Not when it comes to me and my personal life and relationship with God. I am the only one who can mess that up. My wife cannot mess it up. My family can't mess it up. Co-workers can't. Strangers can't; not my personal, individual life and relationship in Him.

When we do something corporately as a family, then they can be a hindrance. If we do something corporately as in an assembly, then they can hinder me. But I can step out of that role and get over here in my own thing and the Spirit of my Father and I can go for it! And, I like that.

We cannot blame anyone else. If I mess up, that is my responsibility. I have to go ahead and admit, "I am the one who messed up." Some people are always giving excuses. "Well, it if wasn't for those folk down there; if it wasn't for the people over there; if it wasn't for blah, blah, blah." Take the responsibility yourself! You are the one! It's no one else's responsibility. Not even the Pastor's.

It has nothing to do with where you were born. It has nothing to do with your mother, your father, your sister or your brother. It has nothing to do with anything but you and The Father, and you ought to thank Him on a daily basis that this is the case. Thank Him that nobody can mess you up. If you are messed up, it is your own fault and not His. You can't blame anyone else, because you can't climb out of that pit!

I do not want to hear about how bad you had it. "Well, you just don't know how abused I was when I was a kid." But you are not a kid now. What is your excuse now? Besides that, that abuse is under the blood of the Messiah and that blood will cleanse that abuse.

If you will do what His Word says,

casting all your care on him; for he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)

T hen it will not rise up to threaten you in the dark of night to frighten you while you are in your bed alone.

They could have raped you, beat you on the head and done everything they wanted to do to you. That has nothing to do with the blood of Jesus. It has nothing to do with the fact that you are a child of The Father's right now. Stop copping out with all that junk of the past! It means nothing. It is over. It is done!

No, it should not have happened. No, you should not have been molested, but you were. It is over. Forget it, and go forward. Stop living in the past. It will do you no good.

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. ( Philippians 3:13-14)

What happened to you should never have happened. They should not have done that, but they did, and your thinking about it and carrying it to your grave is not going to change it. Put it under your feet. Bury that garbage. Forget it and get a hold of the Word of Life.

Let this Word dwell richly in your heart so that there is abundance there, so that when you open your mouth, out comes the Word of Life and then He will confirm that in your life. Nobody or nothing can stop you!

Yes I believe this. However, it is one of the hardest things we humans can do is control the tongue, the mouth our talk. Especially emotional or sensitive people. let us hope God takes all that into consideration.

Yes Robert, I agree.
The ones who are most sensitive to His leading and listening for His voice can be assured of His comfort and loving acceptance. I believe our father has given us His holy Spirit as a guide and instructor/counselor to help us in our tongue control.

That is so true; we are who we are and what we make of ourselves. Only with God's help can we be the best that we can be. Thanks for a great article, B.

B, this is such a powerful message that is often not accepted. It's simple. It's basic but we want to complicate it. I agree with you 100%. I try to live by these scriptures and not say anything about anyone or anything that is negative because my words create. The tongue is an unruly member. It's been compared to the rudder of a ship, difficult to control. I repeat constantly, "let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, oh Lord my strength and my redeemer." I  like trying to live up to what He asks of us. What helps me is my spiritual growth. I don't beat myself up and feel guilty for days, weeks, and months now, when I mess up. I confess, repent, accept His forgiveness and move on. Thank the Lord!

I look forward to reading more from you, B. Blessings!

Thank you Avis,
There is incredible power in the tongue. I don't think most people have even touched the the tip of the iceberg. Extra-ordinary things can happen just from words that originate from the soul. Can we even begin to think or imagine what power there is in the Spirit of Him who dwells within us?
It's written that all things created are maintained in their place and empowered for function by the Word of God. Awesome indeed, I say.

Amen to your comments but especially to this quote! I want to be consistent so that I can experience more and more of these extra-ordinary things in my life.

Thanks for joining my fan club!
A Happy Thanksgiving, too!
