"Help is on the way". stated president elect Obama. Yes to help consumers . Well this is interesting or at least it should be? That term consumers cuts a very broad swath. Just who does that apply to, all? Look if anyone has written to the same topic I am certainly one of them. Why I persist is perhaps to light some type of a spark within people. Now I realize people don't care to hear what they perceive as negatives and especially when they like the persons being written about. In reality these are facts not perception, yet people choose what they want to read or listen to, or believe. No, I don't care if they disagree, hold another opinion. What I care about is reality, facts, what these politicians do and not do. Perhaps we would be better off if just a few more asked the same question of these "our" leaders instead of just hoping or perceiving?
Paul Voclker was named to day to head the Economic Recovery Board. Yes to get the economy moving. Great but for WHO? This man has been around Washington insiders for so long one might think he dates back to Washington's time. Once again, right down the list, the very same people who worked for, in and with administration after administration regardless of who was in power. Hey, their resumes speak it, I don't need to. Senators, Ambassadors, Cabinet members, Congressional leaders, appointee's all the same old tried and true people. Yes and all part of the same club, yes the very same.
So I won't rain on the parade. The fact these leaders label everything as new seems to be ok with most. I do have a 2004 car though that I owe more then it is evidently worth and if you purchase it from me [hey, I'll even short sell] you can then have,guess what, a new car. Well what I mean is it will be the same old car, just new to you . New being defined as " the resumption or repetition of a previous act or thing". Well Webster says that, not I. Yes, we take up right where we left off. Upset, please don't be with me, I am just stating what is.
So what Webster says is basically you start up the old, or take it out of the closet, dust it off and use it again, but only with a different setting, how novel. Yes and then sell it as NEW. Hey if it works for many why not and that evidently works.
So as I was reading I came across this question posed by someone " Just what is this NEW administration and congress going to do for, get this novel question, PEOPLE? "Yes why don't they answer what these bailouts do for families, working people, that is, for average people? They sure drop the term around loosely but they never get specific, why? You hear much about the help for bankers, investors, financial giants and how that help is necessary and needed and they give you specific action and what they expect the outcome to be, but what they never , and I'll say that again, what they never answer to is what does it do for people?
Oh does it create jobs, ok, for who? Where, where, when, how? What type of jobs, good long lasting, good paying jobs, with benefits? Yes, do you really think, really that the bailouts will help those they have labeled "irresponsible" whose credit is now "not worthy"? Please give us a break. With all the talk, rhetoric and hoopla have you heard any of these media giants say outright just what it will do for average people. Common now, people making over $80,000 a year perhaps, No I'm talking everyday average Americans, families, the elderly, the sick and handicapped and children.
Well lets consider just what it will do for them as far as can be ascertained? Will it get them relief from those usury rates the creditors charge them and those increases in fee's? Wait, hold on, I need to catch my breath I'm laughing so hard. Sorry, I just have switched from crying and anger to laughing. It is sad, but funny, a joke and it is on us. Will it get them relief from the constant call harassment and threats of bill collectors, legal action, seizure, liens and calls? Will it give them relief from foreclosure or will they get, you got it, "UNFORTUNATELY". Better yet will they get "well i never really said that" or "it wasn't intended to", or how about this one, "first things first"?
Please will someone tell average everyday working people how this is going to get them good jobs and now? Help.to pay the bills and now? MOO. No not you, I don;t need one of us defending them. Let them spell it out. How this is going to get average families money to pay their bills? How they are now all of a sudden going to be able to get that loan? Are they for real? Lets hone up to the facts. Yes the facts. I'm sorry it hurts but it is reality that many just walk away from. Too scared to think? Well you should be as they say, wait until next year.
Oh I'm sorry we no longer are a nation of truth or fact or do for the general welfare or common good. No, not any longer. It is sown in the lack of response, in their deeds, their works, their failures. Sin, no it goes well past sin. There are no words to describe it. Yes and NEW, just another buzz word. They can't even come up with any originality. Cut the budget, gee golly gosh, you do that automatically. Start a work program. Golly gee whiz, really. "New Deal", really?
What we all need to ask and NOW is;
What are you going to do for people!
What are you going to do about USURY?
What are you going to do for people in Foreclosure?
Even more important, what are you going to do for the many who are at the cliffs edge? WHAT?
You know the sad answer........................................... Little to nothing.
How very sad! It is not about them that is why in my opinion they dare not answer.
I end with don't tell us show us, explain it to us, not you, them, how? I hope, I am wrong for the sake of all of us. I'm big enough to say I was. Are you? No I will continue my hope and looking up for the signs are all there that say what will be and is happening. Will there be prosperity again? Let me just say in my opinion it will come. Only lets hope it is for us all.
