It took a year for "our" government to declare and I don't think they did admit to it as yet some outside think tank did it for them, that we were in a recession since last December 2007. Probably way before that. Now they dare not call it a depression but a "very severe" economic situation.

Well we haven't quite reached depression but who can believe the governments statistics? Can you or I? Yes the bailout of their chief allies in the finance industry, the continued allowance of usury and bankruptcy laws to assist them, not everyday people, bailouts even for foreign investors and we all look to the same, yes the same by no doubt or means can it be different, worn, tried and true failures for the answers. Yes and we even defend them. We find all the bright things to hope for.

The facts are and yes it is bad news, that more and more people will be falling into the "irresponsible" category. The "not credit worthy" types as if those who leant them in the first place are somehow worthy types? Look just what are people taking? Really, just what are they high on?

Jobs, ok what jobs? When, what type, for who? Belief, hope, positive all well and good but please that doesn't win the battle. I'm sure Custer was hoping for help? Yes I'm sure he hung his life on "help is on the way". I'm sure Hitler was hoping those paper divisions were coming to rescue him and the same "help is on the way". I'm sure Neville Chamberlain thought he had a treaty for peace in our time? Hope a wonderful thing we should never let go of but a dose of reality to boot is certainly necessary. Hey Christians have been hoping for 2000 years for their savior to return but in the interim they have to deal with, you got it, reality.

So as we wait for the new year 2009 will it be "new" and will it be happy? Well new by nature of rollover. Oh, I'm sorry to put a damper on it. For some it will be, but for the vast majority, who today are sitting in their home, holding a job, having health care and retirement benefits they are the few and slowly shrinking and quite possibly the next "irresponsible". hey ask those 533k that lost their job in November. They will have to learn to take less. let me see, when do you think we will strat to ehar that from our leaders if not already. Well i got news for you it has been a cornerstone for them for years and now it is here, how strange?

Ok no brain storm here, if people don't work there is no tax money. No tax money no grant money. No tax money a cut or roll back in social services and government jobs. No tax money there are no repairs, work projects, new jobs, funds for outside companies.

What you have left is what we got to the tune of millions, Layoff's, lost work and wages, cut back in social services, homelessness, sick, starving, broken families, need one go on? Yes and you sit there content in "buying" rushing around on Black Friday, Cyber Monday and all the days leading up to the celebration that started all this but somehow got lost in the celebration of "me" and spend. yes and your friendly creditc ard company is just waiting there all leagal like to lower the boom on you and you, well you don't even realize it. You will and you know something, join the rest. That joy on Christmnas Morn will turn to pain with your next statement.

We actually buy this "new" concept that Washington suddenly has changed, overnight. We now have leadership, suddenly out of the blue because our "new" president said so. No, of course his ideology, concepts, ideas are not new, nor are those who he has on his team. No we will just believe that. Why, well what else do we have?

No fancy use of words said by other great men can be attached to anyone, who although eloquently pronouncing them, in speaking them and using them can ever make them as meaningful until they do that which those great men did. You can profess it all you want but ones deeds go before you. You can say you're a centrist but your deeds speak to who you really are. You an say you want to help "all Americans" but your works go before you and by definition who
are you speaking to and about? Yes you can say, you can promise, you can congeal and mesmerize, but unless you produce by deed you are no more then the Easter Bunny. What a cross to carry, a burden, a description that says who you really are and for the rest of your life and throughout history.

So my fellow United States Citizens, because the term Americans has come to be noted by the elite as the continent. Yes all "Americans" in another context. Will they do for the everyday people, the average and poor, those in need? Is help really on the way for them? We shall see it in their works, what they do and fail to do. What do we have left but hope?

As you say how terribly sad people are on the street, without food, jobs and families are being torn apart and people are dying in every way possible you can sit back and rest assured that you are just as guilty as the ones who brought it about. You have and had a hand in it. You allowed it, condoned it, permitted it. You allowed the sin of legalized usury, the breaking of law, exploitation and laws at the hands of the greedy passed by and for them by these very same law makers. FACT my friends FACT. You can pray, you can give your time, talent and treasure, but you still cannot shuck the responsibility from you. Why, just what I said.

So 2009 will be a tough time for many even while many will grow rich or richer off of the woes of the, well you know "irresponsible". Yes you see it every day, ten steps to success and riches. How to buy homes in this troubled market. What to do in these troubled times, like cut back your vacations, really.
Hey after all you were responsible, you have, you got and you took care of number one and yes yours, and you can't worry about everyone now can you? It was by their own choice. Yes you are right in a lot of cases, not all, but what the hell, am I my brothers keeper? Not these days.

I think the question " what else do we have"?  is correct.  I'm not into politics at least I really don't write much on it, but your article is food for thought.
