Crafty Fun with baby footprints!

Baby feet grow quickly during the first years, perhaps going through 3 or 4 sizes. During the second year, the growth slows down just a bit, where baby feet may go through 2 or 3 sizes.

Preserve and remember your baby's size and growth for years to come with a traditional 'one of a kind' gift rubber stamp. Share with relatives from far away places your new found joy. Grandma and grandpa would be delighted to see how cute your baby's feet are.

Creating a baby foot print is great to monitor the growth of your child throughout the years. Many couples imprint their baby's foot print every birthday to watch how their precious little ones have grown throughout the year.

Creating a baby foot print is easy!

Many arts and craft stores sell non-toxic paints that are easily washable. Before applying any type of paint to the baby, test on your self first. Stay away from oil based paints because they are hard to wash off and require thinners to take off. Make sure the paints are washable and non-toxin. Most paints will be labelled this way and if unsure ask the clerk.

Many dollar stores also have latex water based paints that can be used to make imprints. A lot of these kits are usually around a dollar. A very inexpensive craft idea.

After applying the paint to the toddler's foot, make a few imprints then allow at least 10 minutes for the imprint to dry.

Scan the imprint and now you can send to your friends and family.

Baby stamp imprints can be used to decorate toddler rooms, make unique holiday cards and create entries in to scrapbooks.

DesignerStamp allows you to create rubber stamps from the imprint of your baby's foot or hand. Many people have been making stamps to mark birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions.
