Certifications are becoming a necessary part in the IT industry. I must say if a job is worth doing then its worth doing well to get a computer certification. You do not need high level certification in order to obtain an entry-level job. Your first job will likely be at a helpdesk, working in a Tec support call center, contract work through a temp agency, etc. but you must have to go through any kind of certification before getting a job for your own convenience.
