A laptop is made up of numerous delicate and small chips and other technical elements with minute details. If one of these innumerable and delicate technical elements is subjected to malfunctioning, then the whole of the laptop will stop functioning. If a problem is allowed to persist in the laptop, it might even damage and cause dreadful things that might even prove to be permanent. Like all other parts of the laptop, the hinge is quite important. A hinge does not affect the laptop’s technological aspects or play any active part in the software or hardware operations and functionalities of the machine. But if it is subjected to any problem it might pose a very serious problem in the overall usability of the laptop.
The friction mechanism is known as the clutch while the whole mechanism is the hinge. A hinge is that part which holds the clutch together thereby anchoring it to the base and the screen.
One can avail all the necessary parts (software and hardware) of the laptop, but obtaining a spare part of the hinge from the market or some other retail channels can be a tough job. This happens either due to unavailability, unwillingness, or direct orders from the related manufacturing companies.
So one has to depend on the repair service providers to provide the screws and other such components especially made for these laptop hinges. The usual tools that are essential to fix the hinges are a torx T-8 or such other screwdriver, and a flathead screwdriver. It may also be required to remove the keyboard for disconnecting the video ribbon cables from the logic board.

yes it was helpful, but it doesent tell you how to fix anything, its just common sence that, you would have to send it in or buy the parts from the manufacturer
