Frogs come in many varieties and colors. Frogs and toads are part of the class called amphibians. The difference between frogs and toads is that frogs have long legs and smooth skin while toads will have short legs and rough skin.

Look at pictures of the tree frogs and you will see that the tree frogs have adhesive disks on the end of their fingers. This helps them to hold onto the branch as they jump from branch to branch.

Frogs and toads live in great quantities in the tropics such as in the Amazon but they are also known for living in most areas around the world, apart from the very cold regions.

Origin of the Frogs Evolutionary thought goes like this, ancient fish of long ago grew legs crawled out of the water and became amphibians. From the ancient amphibians came reptiles. Out of reptiles came two different branches: mammals and birds.

Since humans are mammals it can be said that in our evolutionary family tree we are related to amphibians, such as the ancient frogs. Changing From one Kind to Another Is it possible that frogs (amphibians) evolved from an ancient fish or is there another answer?

Dr. Richard Dawkins of Oxford University is seen speaking on the From A Frog To A Prince video which was produced by Keziah Films. Dr. Dawkins, an evolutionist, says that the chances for one kind of creature to change into another kind immediately would be like taking a dice and rolling it one thousand times with it landing on six every time. It will never happen. But if you have a lot of time and many small changes then it is possible for one kind of creature to become a totally different kind of creature. And what is the mechanism that causes these changes?

The answer given is natural selection through mutations. Creationists believe in natural selection. It is a scientific fact that changes occur. (The animals that were in the Garden of Eden do not look like the animals we have in the world today). But with all the different kinds of frogs and toads there are in the world, whenever the frog changed-it always changed into a frog.

Where's the New Information In order for a kind of animal to change into a different kind there needs to be new information added to the genes of that animal. For example for a reptile to change into a bird the reptile would have to gain bird information in its genes. Reptiles lungs are completely built different then a birds lungs. The reptile breathes in and out through the same end of the lungs while the bird takes air in one end of its lungs and it goes on through and out the other side.

Through natural selection genes have never gained any new information. In fact just the opposite has happened there has been a loss of information says Dr. Michael Denton of Otago University in New Zealand. Check out the article called Blown Away by Design by Dr. Denton. Dr. Denton is an evolutionist but says that, Darwinism 'does not give a credible and comprehensive explanation of how the pattern of life on Earth emerged.'"

So where do we go to find out the origins of life? We have an eyewitness account. God gave the testimony to Moses who wrote it down in the book of Genesis. On the fifth day of creation God filled the seas with fish and the air with birds. No where in Genesis 1 does it say anything about ancient fish giving way to amphibians, which gave way to reptiles, which gave way to birds.

The Bible is quite clear that fish and birds were created on the same day. Amphibians were created on the sixth day along with the other land animals. Therefore did frogs evolve from ancient fish? No, they were created on the sixth day!
