The windows registry can be a scary place. Most casual computer users don't venture near the windows registry. If you want to see what your registry looks like, you can access it with the following command.
Click on your windows Start button. Then select the 'Run' command. In the dialog box that appears, you'll see a space to type a command into. The command you'll type is regedit in lowercase.

Before you do anything, make sure you exit the windows registry editor. Do this by either clicking the tiny red X at the right of the window. Alternatively, you can use the menu by clicking on File and exit. This will not cause any changes to be made to your PC.

Very good Lela. I have had to go into my registery several times because of unwanted spy ware and other invasive parasites, but I always felt like a brain surgeon afraid I'd have to sneeze.
