What is the secret of becoming a Mystery Shopper?  The secret is simple.  You just have to know what mystery shopper companies are looking for in a shopper and what simple strategies you can take that will take you from mystery shopper to MEGA mystery shopper.  I was once a very skeptical person about Mystery Shopping and most "Earn Money from Home", and "Run Your Own Business" schemes out there.  Not only have my feelings changed about the mystery shopping business, but I also became a successful Mystery Shopper.  Years ago however, things were different.  I answered an ad in my local newspaper.  For $39.99 I could become a Mystery Shopper and get paid to shop!  The ad reeled me in hook line and sinker.  I believed for a moment as we all have done, this sounds too good to be true.  But then my excitement took over and I awaited the information that would start my new career.  I expected that for my money I would get hired as a shopper and would soon be getting paid to shop.  Instead what I got was a piece of paper with a single Mystery Shopping Company to whom I applied with.  My application got sent back as undeliverable/no such business.  But I still had that spark inside of me about getting paid to shop and becoming a mystery shopper.  Getting unhooked once you have been reeled in is difficult.  I didn't want to give up.  What woman doesn't love to shop?  I took what happened as a challenge, no a mission to find legitimate Mystery Shopping Companies.  They had to be out there!  I had a computer and access to the Internet, so I began searching.  I found a few companies that I applied with online and when there was a shop in my area they would email me or I would go to their website once I was a registered shopper and look at their job list.  Some companies didn't have work in my area, but some did.  Some mystery shopping companies would expect me to train online for each job I did sometimes taking an hour just to know what was expected of the shop.  Then I would get paid $10.00 to do a 10 - 30 minute shop since I lived in a rural area.  I had to keep track of everty detail and make sure I asked the correct quesitions of the employee, receptionist or hostess.  By the time I filled out the online evaluation to send back to the company, I had spent 3 hours time to get $10.00.  And the purchase I had to make was usually around $5.00 or so and even though I would get reimbursed at the end of the month, I was spending money to make money and my pay averaged about $3.00 - $5.00 an hour.  But I discovered the secret to mystery shopping!  You find the highest paying mystery shopping companies and get a reputation with them as a shopper who gets things done on time.  Now I know what it takes to get more jobs than you can handle and have to turn jobs away!  I learned how to schedule my jobs so that instead of driving an hour to do a single shop, I would do 5 or 6 shops a day in the same city and I would do this 2 - 3 days a week.  Mystery Shopper Companies have schedulers who have to get shoppers for their clients who hire them.  I learned how to get the jobs that the schedulers couldn't find a shopper for.  I learned a trick to getting not just a single mystery shopping job, but whatever the company had in my area.  I researched Mystery Shopping companies and I began to make more money than I thought was possible.  Ever since the article about Jennifer Voitle who was the famous mystery shopper featured in the Wall Street Journal came out there has been a buzz across the internet. She told readers she makes up to $7000.00 a month.  The stir caused people from all over to take a look at Mystery Shopping as a legitimate way to make money.  But, is $7000.00 a month a realistic figure for the average shopper?  NO.  Mystery Shopping is NOT A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME!!!!!  But what is mystery shopping?  Mystery shopping is a business where you become an independent contractor for mystery shopping companies who have clients who want a regular consumer to evaluate their business, their employees and the quality of their service.  You become your own boss, set your own hours as long as you do the shop and fill out the evaluation form prior to the due date (usually a one to two week period from the time you receive your job).  Fortunately, some Mystery shopping companies not only offer mystery shopping, but also merchandising (like setting up a sunglass or other floor display), giving out samples and demos to promote a new product in the client's store and much more.  Finding these companies took me years and trying out the companies to see which paid the best and had the most to offer took me years!  There are free lists on the Internet when you do a search and some of the URL addresses no longer exist.  I wrote an ebook which includes a list of over 500 legitimate companies who need shoppers, AND HOW TO MAKE MONEY FAST!.  Everything you need to know to get started and to become an experienced shopper just by reading the book and applying to the companies is worth 3 years of searching, working and finding out what you need to know in the pages of a book. Mystery shopping is a legitimate business and there are many scams out there that want you to pay money for a directory that has outdated lists and don't tell you how to apply or what you need to know as an independent contractor including tax concerns and other things you need to know when you are running your own business.  For your money you will get a bonus of three other manuals which include companies that will pay you to give your opinions in online surveys and focus groups evaluating products and services.  My favorite is previewing upcoming movies and giving my opinion.  Another bonus manual you get is on Merchandising and Demos, and Ad-wrapping your car.  I have a 100% money back guarantee.  I know what it is like to be scammed and you need to be wary of companies that want your money for a list of mystery shopping companies.  Some are lists from people who searched the Web and compiled a list and have never done mystery shopping.  Some are unconcerned about anything except putting money in their pocket.  I know what it's like to need money and want something that doesn't feel like work.  Well, this is it!  So, I wrote an ebook to help people succeed.  $100 - $400 a week is the usual average income for doing a few shops a week.  For people who want to put in more time and effort it is easy to make lots more, especially when you have an experienced shopper telling you the secret of mystery shopping.  Scan the internet, find some free lists, but if you want to succeed guaranteed, visit http://www.mysteryshopplus.com.  We have free mystery shop chat rooms for schedulers and shoppers, free forums, and free tools that will help your mystery shopping business plus the ebook Mystery Shopping Directory.

Yours in success as a mystery shopper,
