Ok, call me a bad boy but lets not forget truth. First, America is hoping and the reason for that I have written to time and time again. It was all about change so where is it? Lets go find that CHANGE?
First I think it important that we go down the list of recent Obama appointments. Was there change in more then mere people? Well they are not in yet so there will be change then, really, you really believe that? Why, I don't know but that is for history to figure out. Many he has surrounded himself with are some of his former cohorts in Congress and in the Clinton administration who helped get us where we are. Some are even bing scrutinized as write, how strange? Oh, blasphemy to talk like that about past president who did so much. yes you can say that again. The fruits of his work we are reaping now. That is if one can accept truth? Yes truth be told, most of them are from the Clinton era and for whatever reasons, although he was deeply involved by his works and deeds in this current situation, still gets a free pass. Hey the truth still is the truth, go find it. I wonder who they will support in the meetings, Hillary of Obama?
So how about these additional concerns as starters?
Governor Bill Richardson withdrew his nomination for Commerce Secretary in the face of a legal inquiry. He is another advocate of Illegal Immigration being legalized through Comprehensive Immigration. Another way to say cheap labor / exploitation in my opinion. yes the same as the female governor just appointed.
The again we have Obama's Treasury Secretary who didn't pay taxes but that is no big deal, just an over sight. Well this is the guy watching the store? Yes and never mind he was second in command at the Fed during this crisis and never evidently did much of that as well. hey we saw how he did for the republicans with he first round of bailouts. Rhetorically, I guess he has sharpened his pencil and cleaned his glasses?
Then again we hear after resigning, the Citibank chairman takes a key post. This is the same guy they gave 10 billion to and few know what he did with it. Yes and he is going to help guide us into prosperity really? Wait, hold on, I really have to sit down. Ok, I'll say that again. This is the guy who will lead and advise Obama how to get us back to prosperity? Talk about killing hope while blaming the messenger.
Well along with the bad news some great news for you out there who love Hillary. Hillary got nominated and all but approved the moment she walked back into the Senate, which will have happened by the time you read this. Why bother to even have her questioned? Why, well headlines in the AP say "Senate embraces Hillary". What does she do? First thing out of her mouth she will implement Global Solutions. God help us. What are they? Ok, you don't want to know but you will cheer. Now I do realize what she is about to do she and this new administration will think they did. Quite the contrary but that is for another day and time.
With so much of it flying around one would think it was a reunion of old friends and cronies and it was. Oh and yes her buddy on the bankruptcy bill enhancements, Chuck Schumer. Yes he, put his arm around her. Now other cronies and people, lets just say whose names were was mentioned with telephoning Blagojevich are Harry Reid about the Illinois Senate seat. No not Harry and Rahm Emmanual. Rhetorically, what do you think about possible conversations? Who knows and we never will.
I'm sorry that I can't be as positive as some would like but frankly I'm trying each day just to get by. Here in Florida they are cutting everywhere they can in places that help people, the elderly, children and, families. Yes even while they give themselves a raise and yes while our Governor who remains popular [doesn't that speak to who the heck we are] continues to walk around promising and making statements for us in need of help to go talk to your banker, etc. Ok, need an example. This Governor stated there was an agreement on a 45 day moratorium on foreclosures in December 2008. He negotiated that gentleman's agreement with the banks. Well as Mr. James Thorner reported on page 4 mind you of the business section of the St. Pete Times, that was all a fluke. There wasn't any moratorium and Foreclosures actually jumped 6% in the area.
You care to believe and actually hope in these people. Rhetorically can he a be a liar, fool or just too trusting and can they all be? In any case we lose, all of us but especially those in need because someone has to pay and pay you who have will. Some of you actually rate them and him high on what they say, not what they do or did. My God, that says it all.
I ask just how can we hope and trust and believe in them, how? Things are bad you know they say, really, well not for you. I have one word for what they have bal_ s. Rhetorically is our Governor still on cloud 9 from his ½ a million junket to Europe?
Now this same paper supports more bail out money for these bankers, with of course tighter control, because they are in bad shape. Those irresponsible louses. Only kidding that is for us. Once again, what are we? What have we become? Just who will be helped? Do we care and are we concerned?
We all hope and to not do that is beyond reality. We all seek the positives and I do believe Mr. Obama will try to do what he can with the deck dealt. He made 510 specific promises and the St. Pete Times has set up an Obama meter. Too bad they never had one for Bush. He is already at odds with his own party [that same old Washington Crowd] and they certify that it is that same old Washington crowd.
The AP as reported "lawmakers departed dramatically in one area, by jettisoning the incoming administrations call to give a $3,000 tax credit for each new job created by private companies".
So what he can do with them will be seen. I suspect we will hear shortly just what I am calling for. If we do this now we help him now. It is that simple.
Yet there is the underlying fear that this nation will be no more if not already consummated in the deeds of these people. Will we scrap the Republic, something that may have already taken place, for Social Democracy. Don't think so, just look. Yes we the People will pay our selves for our jobs and benefits and We the People own most of everything, that is that is in the negative and also the debt so we can buy from them. Rhetroically talk about Ponsi.
Mr. Obama just returned from a meeting with Mexico' president. Do you suspect Comprehensive Immigration [what we don't want] and SPP were talked about? I wouldn't take that bet. Should we go on? Why bother? The same old bunch with the same old agenda only this time repackaged for resale in a "new" look. One can't help reading the opinion pages, why not this and why not that, and how about this and they should do that and I'm upset about this etc, etc, etc. Yet that doesn't change a darn thing. Get on with it. Recognize it for what it is and who they are and try to do something about it.
What can we do? Well along with keeping hope alive that they will do something and fast, we can let them know just how the hell mad we are. That is all of them. The newspapers, the media, yes and even those we call our leaders. We have had our great moment in history and now we must deal with reality.
As we look at the people our new president elect surrounds himself with I can only come to the conclusion, "that same old tired Washington crowd" and "birds of the same feather'. Sorry, it is what it is. Should we surrender and give up hope. No way, I just got off the phone. Can't you do as much? Not interested, well lets hope you don't join the many because you will be in for a rude awakening. He who laughs last laughs the loudest and I do not care to laugh when people are being destroyed.
Hope, a popular topic these days and needed, but in my opinion it is for those who do. Those that take action to make change. The others, well they sit around, complaining, moaning and groaning, whining and asking but do nothing to little. They have hope but that is it. They live in their situation and accept what comes. In my opinion that is America today. Do you want it to change? Then act, it is as simple as that.
