A While ago I needed to make a popup for my website so my visitors could find a certain product I wanted to launch. After surfing the internet for keywords make and create popup window scripts I didn't find what I was looking for! Well in fact I did find some scripts here and their and I tested some of them too. Only none of the popup window scripts I found were that easy to install on my website also they were not easy to modify either, especially with my small amount of JavaScript technical knowledge. So I thought it was to change my strategy, and although in general I like to use free source as much as possible and modify it myself, after wasting a whole day looking for a script on how to make a popup window, I finally stopped searching for this particular script when I saw I was going nowhere.
Some good things did come out of my searching though ! For instance I had at found that one of the best ways to make a popup window was by using Dynamic HTML and some JavaScript, so it wasn't all in vain. This was when I started searching for "make a HTML and JavaScript popup window software". This produced a lot more results, as it seems that quite a few talented programmers had already dedicated their time and efforts to make a program which automatically makes popup windows. So after I had download a few applications from different sources I went to work and started to test the various packages out there which were boasting great benefits their application could provide to me, via time saving and price.
After a few more hours of installing popup window programs and testing with my WebPages on my local server I had finally found one good popup window software, which the writer gave away for free, but with limited functions and for a small price for more advanced functions. I was not deterred by this though as I had my popup window software running and I could see the full potential of the paid version software, which if you match the time it took to make a popup in general the paid version was only a very small fee, for that particular use I could use the free version anyway.
The conclusion was finally I had found a popup software that did the job in probably a fraction of the time I could do it myself so it was definitely worth the initial searching. After a few days I decided to pay the extra for the full software as it had some features I would like to try out and I'm telling you it was worth it. Because for the price of a couple of hours work at the rate I charge I had acquired a standalone software package with which I could make as many JavaScript popup windows as I wanted on multiple domain names for a one off registration fee. Also I would like to point out that the Technical support was really fast and helpful. Any questions I had asked had been answered and sometimes the guys sent snippets of code and all well within 24hrs.
