Congratulations on your engagement. Now the fun part starts. You get to plan your wedding day! Many brides and grooms will attend at least one bridal show to help them get ideas and meet wedding professionals face to face. These shows can offer a wealth of information. If this will be the first time you are attending a bridal show take a moment and read this article. You will be provided with 5 tips from a wedding professional on how to get the most out of attending a show. These tips will help you have a fun and stress free visit to the bridal show.

  • Stop at every booth! Many times brides and grooms will walk right past a booth without stopping. They either think the booth has nothing to offer them or they just do not understand what the booth is. The wedding industry is always evolving and vendors are coming up with new and unique ideas. You just never know what great idea you could have walked right by.

  • Bring a large bag with comfortable handles. You will be collecting a ton of information and handouts from all of the vendors. A large bag with handles that do not hurt your fingers will make your day much easier and more enjoyable.

  • Enter to win at every booth. Just about every booth at the bridal show will offer a chance to win a prize. This is another reason to take the time and stop at every booth. Make sure to fill out the chance to win form correctly with all the requested information. Someone has to win the prize and it could be you! Just imagine winning free center pieces or $500 off a DJ for your wedding day.

  • Print off sticker address labels. To save time and avoid a hand cramp print off sticker labels on your home computer before you come to the show. Find out how many vendors should be there and print off at least that many labels. These labels will be perfect for placing on the chance to win forms found at most booths. Common information to print on your labels are bride and groom's names, wedding date, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and reception location. Do make sure when using these labels on the chance to win forms that you check over the form to make sure you are providing all the information requested by the vendor.

  • Check for free or discount tickets to the bridal show. A lot of the bigger shows are now charging brides admission to the show to help cover costs. Most of these shows do offer some sort of discounted or free ticket. Check the show website or local newspapers for these tickets. If you still can't find any, try calling one of the participating vendors and see if they have any. Vendors will be happy to help. They want to make sure you come to the show.
