Thumb Twiddler

Big businesses get it. The new ads during Super Bowl prove it. Despite the recession, lagging economy and bankrupt U.S. treasury, there is money to be made and spent. It is being spent and made.

The marketing budget is usually the first expense to get the axe during challenging financial times. This is not wise but it happens without fail. If it is not possible to increase your marketing then eliminating it altogether during hard times is the worse choice of the two.

Relationships are essential to our survival. A business never knows when it will receive a harvest from the relationships formed through marketing, whether in good times or not so good times. Someone is still spending money and they just as well spend it with you.

You are not convinced? That is your choice. Turn your attention to your team. I pray everyone is still around, no hours have been reduced or positions totally dissolved. You have a full or partial crew but business is slow. You have marketed in the past. Customers or patients have come in but left without buying your services.

The case is cold. No follow-up has been made and these potential customers or patients are still out there, and perhaps still in need of your help. Who will help them? It just as well be you!

Your team has every intention of handling each task listed in their job description. That is not always possible because there are tasks they perform which are not written in their job description, as well. They simply do them!

Good time management is important but there isn't always enough time to remain up-to-date on everything.  Cold cases are likely to suffer first. Cold cases are a vault of unlocked treasure. What better time for your team to work these cases than now?

In dentistry, a Recall Management System is used to keep track of patients not receiving treatment. Follow-up is timely and systematic. No one is allowed to fall between the cracks or get lost in the system when an effective system is in use. A consultant can assist any business in developing a solid system that turns cold cases into hot cases. Potential buyers have come through your doors once, or perhaps scheduled an appointment once, but did not purchase a service or canceled the appointment.

Increase productivity in your business by working cold cases. A cold case is a hot prospect and even hotter case when you get them through your doors again. Need help? Its out there! A knowledgeable consultant is worth every cent.
