Let me tell you a story , about two years ago I was diagnosed with liver failure nothing much happened for the first year and a half but then I started to get worst . Over the next six months I was in and out of the hospital and on two different occasions my family was call in and was told I had only a few days to live, this is not a fun situation to be in . By having God in My life for some reason I was not afraid of my destiny . The doctors decided since overall I was in pretty good shape to try to put me on the transplant list. And this is where the story really begins .
On August 6th 2008 I was with the Liver doctor at Baylor Health Center in Dallas , Texas , My liver coordinator came in about 4:30 pm and told the me that I was now on the transplant list. I left the hospital thinking this has to happen fast or it's all over for me.
Friday morning August 7th 2008 was one of those days , there was peace in my soul everything I did was right , it went perfect . time with good friends, after supper I went outside and messed with my pickup and in a little while I decided I need to talk to God , so I set on the tail gate of my pickup and looked up into the sky and saw all the beautiful stars He had made for me that night. We talked for a while and I knew he was listening. It was time to go to bed .
I checked my phones put them on chargers ( had two phones to make sure I won;t miss THE call ) and laid down . I sleep for about an hour and half and woke up like I had sleep all night long . It was 1:00 am August 8th 2008 ( 8/08/08) something was way different , I tried to watch TV , but was just restless so at 2:00 I felt I needed to pray so I took the cross my kids had given me ( it was made from olive tree wood made in Bethlehem ) and I started to pray , When I pray I just talk like Jesus is setting next to me the prayer was something like this.
Oh Lord Jesus Christ the carpenter that was my teacher and now is my Physician I am here with my Life in your hands if your will be that I come home to you I am yours but if you have other work for me I am also here for you. Lord Jesus let me reach out and just touch your robe as the woman that touched your robe feeling she was not worthy of being healed but Your Love was there for her , I am not worthy but I pray that I may touch Your Robe and be healed for I know all things are possible for You. Amen. I prayed for about a half hour and when I said Amen , In less than a minute the phone rang it was my wife who was in the hospital in Austin,Texas and told me it was time, they had a liver for me. As a side note of crazy things, is my wife had always told me that she wanted to tell me so I looked at my phone it was off and I know I did not turn it off, Maybe God wanted to show His presents to her.
I made it to the hospital by 3:00 and started to get prepared for the operation, many more prayer were said and I was in the operating room by 8:00am and by 4:00 I was out and in Intensive care. The nurses called me Superman I was out of Intensive care in one day and out of the hospital in 8 days and back to work in 6 weeks. Oh how great is God .
I know now that God does listen and is still preforming MIRICALES !!!
