What is Inositol It is naturally present in foods (wheat, legumes, bran, etc) as a nutrient. A type of sugar that differs from glucose (the chief source of energy for living organisms) in its chemical structure. Certain modified forms of inositol can be used by the body to transmit signals inside and between cells. It is not a complete vitamin,but,works as an agent with many vitamins and nutrients such as Vitamins B6, B12, Choline, and methionine.Inositol is available from both plant and animal sources. In addition, the body is capable of making its own inositol.

Benefits of Inositol

1 - Inositol works with the nutrients and perform fuction such as minimize the build up of fats in the liver which make cause to treat a variety of liver problems.

2 - It is also used for diabetes and to lower blood cholesterol levels (for the purpose of diet).

3 - As an beneficial nutrient often used to counter depression and make our mood balance.

4 - Inositol, in fact, exists in all human cells, where it plays a pivotal role in cell proliferation and differentiation, both vital function.

5 - Inositol plays an important role in maintaining cell membranes. This is particularly true of highly specialized cell membranes, such as the brain, bone marrow, eye and intestines.

6 - inositol is said to promote hair growth and control estrogen levels.

7 - It may also act as great role as an anticancer agent.

8 - Signs of inositol deficiency include hair loss, eczema, high cholesterol, constipation, and eye problems. Natural Sources: Beans, Cantaloupe, Nuts, Oranges, Wheat, Wheat Bran contain phytic acid, which releases inositol when acted upon by the bacteria of the digestive system.
