Answers, the online dictionary, gives 3 descriptive sentences for anarchy as follows:

(1) Absence of any form of political authority.

(2) Political disorder and confusion.

(3) Absence of any cohesive principle, such as a common standard or purpose.

The latter two are currently in effect and the first one is currently breaking out of it's cocoon.

Proverbs 21:2 says: "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." When society operates under those conditions, every living human is in danger. Two days ago, 10 people died at the hand of a man who had made a list of "those who had treated him wrong". But when he started down the list, he also began shooting at anyone that came within his range.

Although President Obama has said he will not take away our arms, there is already a bill in committee of the liberally controlled House which is a gigantic step in that direction. Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 was introduced on 1/6/2009 by Illinois Democrat Representative Bobby Rush.

"Attorney General Eric Holder recently announced the administration's intent to ban so-called "assault weapons" – a politically charged misnomer that demonizes a class of semiautomatic rifles that thousands of Americans use for plinking, hunting and self-defense.

Unbelievably, his excuse for banning them is to reduce violence – in Mexico. So, American citizens must be disarmed to curb the violence of Mexican drug lords. Preposterous!" (Planet News...From My Cold Dead Hands, Bob Stuart, March 12, 2009)

This bill would require registration of rifles using a clip and all handguns. It also has rigid requirements for the purchase and keeping of such arms. Many of these requirements are technical and could be easily interpreted just about anyway authorities might desire. It would also require one to secure a federal permit for the gun and submit to a psychiatric evaluation. It would give them authority for coming into your home to see that you were in compliance.

The Alaskan legislature has passed a resolution HJR 17, asking the U.S. Congress to oppose HR 45, the bill initiated by Bobby Rush.

Most states now have strict regulations in order to purchase any gun. Alabama has a requirement of a background check by the County Sheriff's office in which the gun is purchased, a record of the purchase and signature of the purchaser is taken and submitted to that Sheriff's office.

However, there is little or no records ever made or kept concerning trading guns or selling one from individual to individual. Few stolen ones are ever reported, I imagine. Most people who have criminal intent, have weapons or will secure them any way they can, except legally.

"But let us focus on gun rights. In the landmark Heller case, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the second amendment does not prohibit the use of handguns for self defense. Justice Scalia writing for the majority boldly and unequivocally declared, "We start therefore with a strong presumption that the Second Amendment right is exercised and belongs to all Americans."

"Despite this ruling, Democratic Congressman Bobby Rush filed HR 45, a licensing and registration bill. Under the provisions of this bill, the government would give you permission to own a gun only after registering it, undergoing psychiatric testing and being finger printed. To top it off, you will have to pay a fee to own a gun which is a tax on your Second
Amendment right to own and bear arms.

"Free men do not have to report ownership of their guns, pay taxes tor the right to own a gun, and submit to psychiatric evaluations. Only subjects of an oppressive government are forced to submit to this kind of treatment. As Thomas Jefferson wisely noted, "...no free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." This bill is un-American and unconstitutional. (Gina Parker Ford... WilsonCountyNews.com 3-11-2009).

If our economic conditions continue their downward plunge and unemployment continues it's rapid ascension, our lives will experience things not seen before, not even during the deep depression years. During those pathetic years, people resorted to begging and thievery to feed their children. But in those days, a thief knew that he might be found the next day swinging from an oak limb, so those things were kept under control somewhat. Besides most people were charitable and would often share their meager foodstuffs, especially where children were involved.

But now, thievery has been replaced by robbery and will worsen. Few people will starve or see their children hungry before they will kill to provide for them. The weak and feeble will become easy prey for those determined to take from them. The ownership of guns for self protection will become crucial.

Joel,

Great job!

Boy, do I agree with you!  (Of course I knew I would as soon as I saw your title.)  This frightens me.  I see our rights -- even more than just the right to bear arms -- being taken from us.  And at the rate things are changing in DC, it won't even be a slow process.  Not too far in the future, I think we will look at this great nation and wonder where it went.

Thank you for writing this one,

Nancy

Hi Nancy and thanks for the comments. I fully agree. We are definitely headed down the tube. I'll be 79 in September. I always thought that these things were coming our way but I really didn't think I'd live to see it. Now, unless death comes quickly, it appears that I probably will.

I knew that, as soon as people deserted God, He would desert us. No great nation or empire has ever been able to survive once they become almost totally lacking in morals and ethics. And we are there.

Thank you for your article. I agree with both you and Nancy, our rights are disappearing right before our very eyes.

Thanks for reading and commenting Linda. And, yes, we are losing our rights and freedoms. In a very few years, Christians will be imprisoned or killed for teaching the word of God. It will seperate the devout from the hypocrites, that is for sure. It makes one wonder, how many will stand by their faith with a knife to their throat.

You have it right Robert. I appreciate your reading and commenting. I just feel helpless now. The nation is about to lose it's freedoms and it's chances of ever being prosperous again. We are about to be so deeply in debt that we will be too weak to fight any aggessive enemy. Our concern will be staying warm in winter and finding enough food to survive.

Joel my exact sentiments but think about this, we have already lost those freedoms and many just do not know it yet. Caught up in another age long ago.  The proof in the articles and comments.  It takes awhile but it has sunk in, yes reality is sometimes hard to accept. The answers my friend in the signs and symbols all about us. There is no use talking to what must be and is ordained to come to pass. I do believe it is time we looked at it in a different light, the light and get ready, as that old song goes, "for the judgment day."

Dear Joel,

Its a sad picture that your part of the worls is becoming hungrier and selfish too. It is indeed asorry state of affair. We are all getting more and more complicated, alienated and hostile to each other,Whereas we were supposed to be stewards and enjoy the life.

thank you for your article,

regards,

Swapna

Thanks for your comments Swapna, yes you are correct. It is a shame. What it is, this country has been blessed for so many years with too much. People have become overly greedy and want more and more. With greed comes hate and sorriness.
