Scand LLC releases new cross-browser JavaScript grid control dhtmlxGrid v1.0. This DHTML component allows web developers to organize tabular data into Ajax-based dynamic tables with rich API, client-side sorting, resizable columns and other powerful features.

Minsk, Belarus, March 3, 2006 – Scand LLC is pleased to announce the release of dhtmlxGrid v1.0, new cross-browser JavaScript grid control. This AJAX-powered DHTML component represents tabular data in Excel-like dynamic tables with fixed headers, resizable columns, multiple cell types and advanced data sorting.

Due to AJAX mechanism of data loading dhtmlxGrid provides great responsiveness and allows web developers to design interactive and rich user interface. As grid is loaded asynchronously from server, table data can be sorted and edited without page reload.

Such features as Buffering and Dynamical Loading increase the performance of tables with great number of records. The main advantage of those mechanisms is in the ability of the table data to be loaded dynamically from server on demand and to be rendered dynamically on client side while scrolling through the table.

Comprehensive JavaScript API makes the dhtmlxGrid flexible and completely configurable. The grid supports a wide variety of cell types such as multiline text, image, combo box, list box, checkbox, radio button, etc. Extensible architecture enables any custom data input control to be added to the grid. This makes cell formatting and editing fully customizable.

dhtmlxGrid also supports cell text wrapping, keyboard navigation and different event handlers. The control allows populating a table with data via JavaScript or XML.

More information about dhtmlxGrid 1.0 can be found at http://scbr.com/docs/products/dhtmlxGrid/.

dhtmlxGrid is available under GPL and commercial license ($149, includes 3 months support period and allows using dhtmlxGrid in commercial projects).
