Alone in the garden as the disciples slept, did you know that Jesus wept?

Full of sorrow, in deep distress,
prepared for the cross, before His arrest.

Betrayed, denied by those He loved;
yet, kept His eyes focused on heaven above.

Bearing the sins of all humanity,
He walked through the town carrying that tree.

They blasphemed Him …
cast lots for His garments while wagging their heads.
With authority!  He could have pronounced them dead.
Someone yelled, "If you are King of the Jews, save yourself."
His response became, "Father, Forgive them" instead.

Darkness came, the veil split,
Jesus cried, "Into your hands I commit my Spirit."

On that third day-He rose with even greater power.
Seen by many, and then ascended to the Father.

On the throne, again they sit side-by-side.
The one whose face they had spat.

With keys to hell in one hand, the sting of death in the other,
Filled with love, He kept His promise to send another.

Now, every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess
"No greater love has ever been shown,
Except by the one who paid the debt."

Deborah H. Branch, a native of Philadelphia, PA is a Cutting-Edge inspirational author of Nonfiction, Fiction, and Poetry.  Unknowing to her mother, at the young age of eight, Deborah became a victim of abuse.  She without delay put her trust in Christ to bring comfort to her little shattered heart, and began immediately to learn the importance of forgiveness.  Her compassion to help someone else be healed from this horrific stigma became her mission and to share her most intimate stories with others has opened many doors.

Her new book, “Through the Eyes of Abuse” is now published.

An Elder in the ministry where she attends, Deborah is also mother of two adult daughters, and Mom-Mom to three handsome grandsons.  She and her husband now reside in Atlanta, Georgia.

That's means a lot coming from one such as yourself who has shared that great gift embedded within to write poetry.  What better way to show our love and appreciation for the price he paid then our expressions straight from the heart.

Thank you.
Be Blessed

Thanks Teresa.  I really appreciate your comments.  Sometimes it's hard for those who don't fully understand to perceive that the same emotions they have, Christ had also.  And, the same persecutions they've gone through, Christ did also.  But, just as he came out victorious, they will also.  So, I pray that whatever I write, the message gets through, and that they will believe ALSO.

Blessings To You and Your Family.

Thank you Connor for your comment.  Now that I've reread it again, It does sound like something perhaps the Apostle Paul would've written.

Deborah, I received the email and hope you received mine. Thank you very much. I'm transitioning and  time to read and write for fun is limited these days. I miss not being here but I think about you and everyone else. When I do, I make sure to remember you in prayer.

Take special care!

Thank you Swapna for your comment.  Sorry it took me so long to respond back, but I'm in the last quarter of my book publication.  My love for Christ grows deeper and deeper each day.  Sometimes that expressed love overflows itself into words such as you read.

Have a wonderfully blessed day.
