David Icke is a British author known for his views of history and politics that might sound somewhat bizarre. He has suggested that aliens actually live among us and that they are the real king makers who decided the outcome of last November's US presidential elections.

In his book The Biggest Secret: The Book that Will Change the World (1999), Icke claims that these aliens hail from the constellation Draco. They are reptilian humanoids but far from being little green men they actually look and walk just like humans.

Sounds strange? But there's more to come.

Icke believes, for instance, that Queen Elizabeth II is an alien. These aliens, who collectively make up a secret society called the Brotherhood, control world economics and politics. Their inner circle is known as the "Illuminati".

On his website and elsewhere, Icke suggests that the Illuminati used the mainstream media to paint a positive picture of Obama to the point of ignoring his election gaffes, such as his claim of having visited "all 57 states", and to disparage other contenders, especially McCain's vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin. They chose Barack Omaba to further their cause of world supremacy.

In Icke's new age world, Zbigniew Brzezinski plays a major role. Brzezinski was Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor and came up with the idea of arming the Afgan Mujahideen and using them to fight the Soviet occupation. The Mujahideen later became the Taliban. Now Brzezinski wants Obama to finish the mission of giving the Russians a lesson they will never forget.

Icke says that George Soros with his seemingly unlimited stacks of cash also helped to bring Obama to power. Rahm Emanuel, who according to his terminology is an arch Zionist, has also been welcomed into Obama's inner circle of advisors.

There might well be a Chicago mafia that rigs elections. However, to say that they are actually aliens strains my imagination, at least.

In Icke's worldview, evolution, science fiction and new age beliefs make up a bizarre mixture in which fact and fiction alternate. He seems to subscribe to the view that a coterie of rich Jewish businessmen (who really are aliens) and political advisors control world affairs. No wonder Icke has been accused of Anti-Semitism.

Obama's recent choices, such as helping Hamas to rebuild Gaza and bowing to the Saudi ruler, seem to run counter to Icke's thesis.

Icke could well be right in some details but his ideas would be more credible if he had left out the aliens and Jewish suprematist theories. Politics is often strange enough even without the addition of reptilian hominids, especially since their very existence is doubtful.

I've known about this hack for awhile now, and he is truly a gifted speaker. The problem, as with all conspiracy theorists, is the content of his speeches. The reptiles are all over the place, apparently, and more are on the way. Mr. Obama is only the latest 'arrival'. The scary thing is there are some on this great blue planet of ours who believe everything he says. I mean, really believe.
Well done.

Thanks Michael. While some conspiracy theories might well be true, the addition of aliens to this one does not help Icke's case, to say the least.
Regards,
Joel

That was no gaffe. Obama simply gave a tip 'o the hat to his Democratic predecessor John F. Kerry, who is married to Maria Teresa Thierstein Simões-Ferreira Heinz, of the Heinz "57 Varieties" legacy. Some have called her a reptoid. But, what the heck, I once saw Nancy Reagan take off her mask and...it weren't pretty.

Lol – I thought 57 was the number of Islamic states plus the USA.

Thanks for reading. While Icke might be right about some details (such as there is a conspiracy of sorts), I certainly do not believe in the reptile part. It sounds too much like science fiction.
Anyhow, let us not forget that God knows everything that is happening on His good - though fallen - Earth, and everything ultimately serves for good - even the bad things in His good purposes (Rom. 8:28).
God bless,
Joel

Anyone who thinks we are the only block of dirt in the cosmos with intelligent life on it must be in denial. Now, if you beleive there is other life out there, what makes you think they don't have a plan? or is it that God made earthlings the only coruptable control freaks. C'mon, think outside the square for a bit. It's that closed mindedness that got us where we are today. Finacially ruined slaves to banks, waring factions of both sides funded by the banks, world towers imploding into their own footprints, or, is that just another conspiracy. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE!

Thanks, Michael. As I said in a previous reply to a comment, some conspiracy theories might well be true but David Icke's is most probably not one of them. It would practically be impossible for any aliens (and yes, I do doubt their existence) to travel here - they would have to break known physical laws, for starters. I believe Earth is special as it is situated in one of the rare known "Goldilocks zones" of the universe.
