Greetings Fellow Travelers...

Speaking as a man
With little sense of power
I will try to make a stand
I will try to save the hour.

Our leadership today
Leaves much to be desired
Some should go away
All others just be fired.

Their own sense of worth
Is vastly over rated
They steal away my mirth
Their value over stated.

From the president on down
They leave me nearly faded
My mind turned all around
My body constipated.

Now don't suggest to me
To guzzle down some 'Lax
My advice to them
To take away some tax!

Give us folks a break
And don't forget your word
Stop going on the take
Stop being so absurd.

You're there to fill the need
Of the people in your district
Not there to slake your greed
Not there to be a dipstick.

Stop bowing to the rich
Be an advocate for peace
Don't try to scratch the itch
Of those who care the least.

There are those who really hate us
And want to see us die
Whose words are made of flatus
And I want to know why.

Why do the leaders in DC
Kiss up to those in power
Who want to see us flee
To live our darkest hour?

And who has a lot to say, with even secret weaponry in which to say it? Very good, Ken! Lovely surprise.

Great write Ken, and so profoundly true...(my personal favorite was and I quote, "From the president on down
They leave me nearly faded
My mind turned all around
My body constipated."

I first wrote "constantly-pated," but couldn't make it work. Maybe next time.

I really appreciate your comments Gary. I just may have to ride my Super Glide to Tucson for that BBQ!
