Why should mankind explore space? Why should money, time and effort be spent exploring, investigating and researching something with so few benefits? Why should resources be spent on space rather than on conditions and people on Earth, or in our own country.. These are the very common questions asked by mankind.

The best answer is The wider the distribution of a species, the better the chance of survival.

If we had never bothered to explore the variable truths of the outer space the very important discovery of small step on moon a giant leap for mankind would be unknown to us. The different scientific realities which has played a crucial role in the development of the modern world would be unknown and unearthed. We would have not even have the basic knowledge of simple facts like formation of tides , solar eclipse , lunar eclipse and many more.

Culturally nearly every successful civilization has been willing to explore. In exploring, dangers may be learned and prepared for. Without knowledge, the danger may strike and completely destroy. With knowledge, the effects or consequences may be lessened. While many resources are spent on what seems a small return, the exploration of space allows the creative, the brave, the intelligence of our species to focus on what may serve to save us. While space may hold many wonders and explanations of how the universe was formed or how it works, it also holds dangers. The chance of a large asteroid or comet hitting the earth is small. But given time, it will happen. Several current models of evolution propose many changes in a very short time period

Human technology is reaching the point where it might be able to detect threats of comet and other celestrial bodies and allow us to do something about it. The danger exist, knowledge can allow us as a species to survive. Without the ability to reach out across space, the chance to save ourselves might not exist. While Earth is the only planet known to sustain life, surely the adaptive ability of humans would allow other planets and moons to become

inhabited. True the life style would be different, but human life and cultures have adapted in the past and surely could in the future. The old adage, do not put all your eggs in one basket hold true for humans and cultures. The more a culture expands, the less chance of it

becoming extinct. Space allows us to expand and succeed. There are still diverse remains in the universe which are waiting for getting explored . And We human beings are the only source for their discovery. Hence, instead of looking at exploration of the beautiful and diverse space as a waste of time we should encourage our future generations and the present generation to explore the unknown.

As the famous astronaut Micheal Collins said

Do not fear risk. All exploration, all growth is calculated. Without challenge people cannot reach their higher selves. Only if we are willing to walk over the edge can we become winners."

Hence I strongly state that exploration of space is not a waste of time but is a useful incentive to discover the boons of universe and handle them effectively.

So friends focus, reach out and discover the miraculous and wonderful world of outer space.

Why explore space? Because the only way to go is outward. Besides, this world spends more money on lipstick than it does on space exploration. Good article. Thank you.
