This year has gone by very fast. To begin with it went very slow. I never thought that summer would come. Now I have one week left of being a freshman! I'm excited to be a sophmore, but at the same time I'm sad to see all of the seniors leave. I just met many of them even though in middle school I would see them in the halls. I had classes with some seniors and actually grew very close to one of the seniors that sat next to me in band. I'm not going to graduation because I have a cousin graduating in a different town. I also don't think that I would make it through the graduation. I went to a small town, much smaller than my town of six thousand residents, to see their graduation. I only knew one person, of the twelve and am not close to him, but I still cried for some reason. Its a time of the year where your happy for the seniors making it through the four years of high school, but its a sad time because you don't want to see them go. First semester seemed to drag on and on and on. Second semester went by very fast. I can't believe that i only have two more days of classes left! I'm excited for finals because I will get out one, but i am a bit nervous for them. Many people think that when school ends so does everything that has to do with school. No. For me I have drivers education starting at seven thirty a.m. the first two weeks of June. Then I have an FCCLA convention to go to for the second time. I'm going to do a STAR event again about the career of teaching. I'm really excited about that. I am very excited to be on yearbook staff next year too. So even though it is an ending, it is also a new beginning.

Great article. Well done.

A very brief but interesting article. Keep your writing up it will only get better. Maybe try making it into paragraphs it makes it easier to read.

What a neat article, Hayley. I cry every time I attend a graduation! Guess it's just old lady sentimentality, but that's how it is. You'll be surprised when you graduate, how much in later years you will recall about that day. It's the bittersweetness of an ending and a new beginning, just a you said.

Great article, Hayley. The end of a Senior Year is like the end of an era and yes, it is sad and glorious all at once. Time goes by too quickly and only speeds up as you grow older. Hang on to those years as long as you can.

Sandra
