Local Residents in a central Detroit Neighborhood heard gunshots first, then a mass of police cars and ambulances speeding toward a known street for violence. On both corners, crossing Linwood of Glynn Court, officers arrived on the scenes discovering that a female had been shot in the leg. Added to the shooting incident, officers at the scenes learned that the shooting had been part of a spiraling " beef " between several people at the two homes [scenes]; witnesses stated that the " beef " had began more than 3 days ago, and had continued long enough until someone used a gun.
Also on the scenes, officers received reports of a young man being assaulted by a large crowd, but no reports have been made as to whether the two incidents were ultimately related. The entire scene included a total of more than ten squad cars, two ambulances, a helicopter and 3 tv stations ... and, two separate homes on both sides of Linwood. The scene was chaotic, and residents crowded the streets and neighborhood being spectators for the largest crime scene they had seen in a long time.
By the time of submission of this article, there had been no arrests for the shooting incident, nor have there been any reports on the status of the shooting victim.

Thanks Ronyae. For me it hurts. You know from my bio. I was born between Linwood and LaSalle Blvd. on Gladstone. That is a block from Claremont on E. of Linwood and W. of Linwood it becomes Joy Rd. You may recall my niece, Melody Rucker was shot standing on the porch at a party in 1986 (16 years old) by a drive by. It was fatal. Thanks for the commentary
In a similar instance I -years ago - I was among the fist at the site of a stab victim with the attacker somewhere in the vicinity for about 5 minuets before the police and an ambulance arrived.
