Which factors determine whether you can buy used cars cheap or not? I these financial crisis days there are especially two kinds of vehicles standing out.  These are:

- Cars that get poor fuel mileage
- Cars that can be described as toys rather than vehicles.

Well, the first mentioned kind of cars pretty obvious.  The second kind is also easy to understand if you take a trip to your local pawnshop and see all the jacked-up SUVs, sports cars with aftermarket turbocharger, Harleys, modified Camaros etc.

But there's another reason to purchase these cars; another element that makes them even cheaper if you act pretty fast.  It's estimated that 40 plus percent of the increase in gasoline price is caused by the decreased value of the dollar due to the home mortgage crises. It's also estimated that gas prices will drop below $3 a gallon in relatively short time from now and what will happen then is that the value of the cars mentioned above will rocket back up to their 'good old' prices.

Below I have listed 5 of the cheapest used cars on the market right now:

Cadillac STS

If you want to buy used cars cheap, this Cad is a real bargain. Two years ago, in 2007, this V8-powered Cadillac went for more than $50,000. Now it goes for around $20,000.

Ford F-150

When new, the most expensive 2007, the top model and most expensive Ford F-150s cost about $35,000 when new in 2007. Today, two years later you'll probably get less than $15,000 on a dealer's trade-in.  A V-6-equipped bottom-of-the barrel 2000 V-6 short bed you can get for less than $4,000.

Dodge Ram 1500 Long Bed

The trade-in value of a 2006 Dodge Ram is around $2,500 today. If you buy private you could probably get it for about $5,000. This is one of the best deals you can make right now.

Harley-Davidson

Harley-Davidson Motorcycles are, "Big-Boy toys" you can buy cheap at a pawnshop. If you don't like the noise it makes, you can put a muffler on it.

Ford Crown Victoria

When we are talking about buying used cars cheap, it's hard to avoid this Ford. Ford Crown Victoria LX was sold for more than $28,000 in 2007. Today, you'll get it for less than $7,000. This is what I call a super-duper bargain!

Are you looking for Cheap Used Cars? Don't settle for less than the best bargains in the country. Don't buy a car before you have checked out these used auto dealers and learned about the other sources of bargains online.
