The Secrets To Eliminating Job Burnout

On the job blues are a normal part of any job. It is important, however, to understand these symptoms to help avoid job burn out from to much work related stress. If you are feeling not much stress about your job stability or from overworking, you will begin to feel unmotivated, which can lead to poor job performance that can lead to termination.

In hard economic times, such as now, company may be forced to withhold any upcoming raises and promotions. This tends to lead to overwhelming stress and tension, which in turn can cause the employee to suffer from various health related issues, directly linked to work stress.

Here is some information to determine if you are suffering from on-the-job blues and ways to avoid becoming burnt-out on the job.

Symptoms and Effects of Job Burnout:

Are you anxiety or do you dread going to work each day, when you used to love your job? Do you put in to many hours and leave yourself little time to relax?

Cures for Job Burnout:

Before you quit your job because you cannot handle the stress decide if the causes of your job burnout can be resolved. Determining the cause of your work stress is very important. Maybe your stress is related to how you deal with your employer and working on that relationship can help ease your burnout. Sometimes it just takes asking for help or reevaluating your workload to help alleviate your stress. Once you have determined the cause of stress try to make a plan to deal with it. Some tips for dealing with job related burnout are limiting the amount of overtime you work; take a vacation or prioritizing your workload.

If you have evaluated the stress and attempted to fix it, but you still feel the same then it may be the job itself that is causing you the stress. At this point a change in employment may be the right option. With this you should then re-evaluate your profession, as this may be the cause of your stress and a career change may be in order.

No matter how much was spent on your current profession and how much money you are being paid, if this is the cause of your stress you need to make a decision. You can be more content with less work related stress and find a new occupation or you can continue to be overwhelmed with your current job and the stress connected to it.
