Sure, it's the height of summer, but it's never too early to be thinking about the holidays is it? Instead of selling one unit per household as with the Wii, Nintendo wants to sell one DSi per family member, explains Shigeru Miyamoto, the firm's game designer. Nintendo is probably glad that some of you hate it or they wouldn't have their name on every second or third blog on the internet.

Nintendo is following the same exact mission it did with the NES sell as many systems as possible make as many games as possible. SNES, N64, and Gamecube were different because they were aimed at besting their competitors. Nintendo is a big name in the video game industry but still prefers to have a simple and comprehensible logo. Since the establishment of the company, it has had a generic logo that the company continues to use. Nintendo is sticking to the $130 price for the blue and black trim DS.

They're investing spare change in game development and selling more than everyone. I played wii sports for the first time the other day with some friends. They're looking at it because it's just great fun. I suppose you could say they're a much more visible company when people are playing they're product.

Wii's sales pace is increasing. The Wii already leads worldwide and soon will eclipse the Xbox 360 in the U.S. Wii is set to offer an old school 2D platformer with some new elements. I played as Mario alongside Luigi, and we took on a level very reminiscent of the classics so many grew up with. Wii Fit not cutting the fat fast enough? Don't sweat it, the house of Mario is getting ready to turn up your weight loss competitive juices.

GameStop said pre sales on the DSi are twice that of DSi Lite while Amazon said the pre sales are the largest for any gaming hardware ever. The DSi has already sold 2 million units in Japan where already half the households have a DS. Games using the device could be designed for relaxation instead of stimulation and excitement. They could even help people go to sleep intentionally. Games are big business but this isn't about making games for gamers.
