Have you ever laid in bed a night and wondered if your baby was alright? Many new mother's especially have fears of their baby having some sort of medical emergency in the middle of the night that would cause them to stop breathing. Unfortunately sometimes bad things do happen and could be prevented if only the parent had known that there was a problem.

If you want the ultimate in peace of mind when it comes to caring for your little one, consider purchasing a baby monitor that includes a movement or motion sensor. Baby monitor movement sensors are a great way to overcome this as they have alarms that are set off by certain movements. For example, one of the most popular movement sensor baby monitors on the market today is the Angelcare Sound and Movement Monitor. These innovative baby monitors will alert you to any sort of breathing problem that your baby might be having through a sensor that is placed under the crib mattress.

When babies sleep, they move. Whether it's just from breathing or from tossing and turning, a baby monitor movement sensor will alert you when no movement is sensed after 15 seconds. This could let you know if your baby has stopped breathing, giving you time to call 911. For parents who are concerned about the existence of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, a unit like this could give you warning when a breathing issue is detected. They use digital technology to give you accurate information without interfering with other baby monitors that might be in proximity. They also include features like a night light and have a range of 400 feet. Other great features of baby monitors include a thermometer to alert of the temperature of the room and even a system to turn on music or sounds remotely, which can soothe a baby.

The Angelcare system is just one movement based baby monitoring system, but many others exist at varying price levels. Since this is an important baby accessory, don't just go for the cheapest baby monitor movement set that you can find. This task is far too important to base your decision solely on a cheap price. Another good quality system that features a movement sensor is the HiSense Babysense V Infant Movement Monitor.
