The story that goes with it is extremely detailed and interesting. Personal loves of the game : the levels go on and on and how cool to jump, hold, and fire like a maniac at the same time.
Damnation has set out to redefine the shooting genre, and the game definitely succeeds with some intense gaming action. The compelling story line of this game provides gamers with lots of freedom. There are big open spaces and plenty of areas to hide from an attack. The setting for this game is an alternate future, specifically the 22nd Century during a second Civil War. Gamers immerse into the character of Captain Hamilton Rourke who is head of a resistance force called the Peacekeepers. It is a story of anarchy outbreak, and economic and civil demise and is a true epic story of Damnation.
What could be more involving than alternate endings. This game gives you choices and how you proceed changes what eventually happens. You can play again and again and it's a different game every time.
Shooting in this game is a lot faster than what you are used to and the aiming feels a lot more precise than in the games that have preceded this one. The increased height leverage in this game is one of the core aspects that make this game better than just about any of the other shooting games on the market, for this system or any other for that matter.
The truth is that I have read the mixed reviews on this item myself, but I really feel that they were short-sided. The graphics and game play are really good for this game, and for those gamers who are seriously into shooting, they will see the significant difference between this game and all the rest. Perhaps it is just that the simple minded, prefer the games that merely take them from point A to point B without much of a purpose. This game has a much more intricate plot and with its various endings, it is not just a game but a true war adventure.
