I have seen many authors submitting poems and thought I would like to give it a try. I know my written verse will not live up to same standard as some of the poems I read on Searchwarp but  I was eager to give it a shot. I am not sure of the layout for poetry so forgive my ignorance I ask of the expert poets.

It's not good living life alone

Not able to visit and no one to phone.

A lonely life is hard to endure

Locked in behind a forever closed door.

All cries for help go unheard

Why is loneliness such an ugly word?

Surely words can be erased and gone

But with no rubber to hand - loneliness still lingers on

Four walls hold this hostage against her will

While she lives her life at a standstill

Release me; let me out so I can be free

To venture outside for all to see

I'm real I'm human and not insane

If only you knew how much I pain

I don't want to live life like this, you must understand

Is there someone out there to take my hand

Lead me away from this lonely life

That's caused me nothing but heartache and strife

Near to breaking point looking around this room

Someone take my hand, give me hope and make it real soon

The walls are closing in. I can't breathe,  I can't take anymore

"Hey" who are you as I am led through the door

This world I now see as quite demanding but I've handled worse, and care not because outside I am standing

This burden I carried for many years was like toting a hod

Thank you my friend, I didn't catch your name, did you say it was "GOD."
