The xbox was a very popular console when it was launched. But a few years down the line, the process of aging begins and, there is now a rise in the number of customers who are finding their unit is now in need of repair, the thought of sending your xbox out to a technician to repair it and being left without it for months sounds daunting. BUT there is a better choice however.

The way people usually find out that a repair job is needed for the XBOX is by noticing the power light has turned into a red ring instead of a green one. So common, it's known as the ring of death and unfortunately it's all too common to have been ‘red ringed' by your xbox.

There are 2 general solutions if your xbox 360 simply has stopped working correctly and you're gutted about this situation:

- Send your X box to be fixed by a technician.
- Or you could sort the most common issues out yourself !

The majority of red light issues can be easilly inexpensively resolved without sending it away and don't really need to waste your hard earned cash on overqualified repairmen who charge you £100 to blow out all the dust the inside of your console with a vacume.
All you need to know to do independantly is:

- How to understand the problem with ease and diagnose the problem
- How to do the important things for a number of common causes of the red power lights

You can achieve both of these goals competently today  with a little help from a qualified xbox repairs engineer who is available to guide you through every point you need to follow to fix the problem. At this point in my explanation I would like to introduce a brilliant video repair video which you can use to your advantage today, and which will explain to you every detail of what you needto do to get your device fixed.

I am not talking about a shocking youtube guide which shows you how to wrap a towel around your device, I am talking about a well written and well planned video that can be followed by following simple instructions.

Repair guides are basically collections of video recordings, pictures and text files show you what you need to do to find the exact process to finish your xbox repair, then repair it using the known method for that fault.  It honestly is necessary that you purchase the guide which I have studied, as without this help, you will not be able to find your way around the delicate parts inside your xbox 360, and will quite likely to cause more problems than good.  In case you're worried about the price, just don't.

You can buy a excellent quality guide with high resolution videos for less than £30 which beats the crap out of a £100 quid technicians invoice and postage fees for sending your unit to a repair center. You can also save yourself a few days waiting for the repair.
