As one who loves to write in rhyme, I find it very frustrating that there are actually some words in the English language that can't be rhymed. Apparently there are no words that rhyme with Orange, Silver or Purple. Well, at least there weren't any words that rhymed with Purple, until now. I've changed that.

They say there is nothing that rhymes with purple,
But how 'bout a thing that's called Maple Syruple?
And small little birds who go tweet and chirple,
Now those are the things that will rhyme with purple.

They say there is nothing that rhymes with purple,
But what about those who eat and then burple?
Which sounds very rude and not like a chirple,
But those are the things that will rhyme with purple.

Purple and syruple and chirple and burple,
The man Wyatt Earp, he was known as Eurple,
That is my story; my name's Harry Hurple,
Excuse me while I have some purple syruple.

Nice poem! Over here in Britain we have a word that rhymes with purple - hirple, meaning "to walk lamely or hobble". Not really in common use though! :)

Month, music and pint are also *almost* impossible to find a rhyme for!

very clever.

there's a purple nurple-when you twist someone's nipple or chest, more so of the former than the latter.

I remember saying this ever since i was a child. "hear comes the bride all dress in purple, stepped on a turtle and down came her girdle"

Absolutely love this! Very funny and great wordplay (imaginary wordplay!). One of those poems that when you read it, you wish you had thought of it yourself. Loved it!
