Icons in the entertainment world for more than 30 years, both Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson made their mark on the world, and will be sadly missed after their deaths on Thursday, June 25, 2009.

Fawcett, 62, and first recognized by the world as a Charlie's Angel lost her battle to cancer; Jackson, 50, and known for his title as the "King of Pop" passed unexpectedly from a cardiac arrest [heart attack].

As radio stations play songs by Michael Jackson from the first album he appeared on, all the way through albums the Jackson Brothers recorded after reuniting and the TV airs specials on the life of Farrah Fawcett's days in Hollywood, I can't help but feel the pain of their families.

Yes, it's true America, and the world alike have lost two very prominent icons. But it's also true that their families have lost a very special member, and they will feel the lost the most. As I mourn the two of them in my own way, I will also say a prayer for their families.

Hi Ronyae,

It's hard to believe they're both gone, somehow their fame made them bigger than life, at least for awhile.

I think I'll put some MJ music on myself, I grew up loving his songs throughout the eighties especially.

Ben.

I know, Ben.  It seems as if I've lost someone in my family.  To lose, who actually wins?
Thanks Ben, for reading and sharing a comment.  Enjoy your trip down Michael's Lane!

It is sad - but part of the life cycle. I, like you, am praying for their families for comfort.

Good job, we lose many each day that we never hear about. They had an excellent life, much better then most and we all go. She died a horrible death, he too young. I suspect the wrold destroyed him as it does many.

Thanks Ronyae, a good article. Death is death and each have a story line. "What you do for others?" I am not too musically inclined, however, music is the rhythm of the soul...With the "beat of a jerking movement" as it was in Motown and the 'Moon Walk' laid out by Hank Ballard and the Midnighters (back when their was James Brown and the Famous Flames), he kept the inside (the heart) of the world's souls moving.
