Another leather care tip is to clean the leather surface with a damp (not wet) cloth. For harder stains you may apply a little pressure (not water) to remove it. Never use cleaning products with alcohol, caustic products or turpentine to clean leather bags. This will discolor and dry out the leather further.
One good leather care tip to remove persistent stains is to apply chalk powder on the stain and let stand for 24 hours. The chalk powder absorbs the elements from the stain caused by blood and food items. Later you can dust off the chalk powder and wife with a clean dry cloth.
Store your leather bags in breathable cloth bags. Avoid storing in plastic as plastic encourages mold and bacteria growth.

Leather makes for excellent carry cases for laptops as it is resists tears and punctures, repels moisture, protects from heat wind and cold and is available in a wide range of colors and textures.

Condition the leather with a good quality conditioner several times a year. This retains the softness of the leather and prevents it from drying out. Never let your leather bags come in contact with hairspray, perfume or body sprays as these contain alcohol that dries out the leather. . Never use shoe cream or saddle soap and cleaning fluids on your leather bags.
